What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
Alder body Light weight with a wide tonal range
Maple neck Bright tone, full sustain and strength
Rosewood fretboard Open, warm tone and smooth playing feel
2-position tone switch More tonal options on Jaguars and Jazzmasters

The Fender Special Edition Jaguar HH combines the classic sound and style of the original Jaguar with modern-day refinements, tone, and attitude. This Jaguar features a set of specially designed MIJ Dragster humbuckers, a single-cutaway alder body, 'Adjusto-Matic' bridge, and chrome hardware. Explore a wide range of sonic possibilities with the Special Edition Jaguar. From a clean snarl, to a wall of distorted thunder -- this guitar represents the harmonious balance of past and present.

MIJ Dragster Humbucker Pickups

The original Jaguar design called for the use of single-coil pickups to give the guitar its characteristic '60s surf-rock twang. The specifically designed MIJ Dragster humbucker pickups give you classic Fender twang without limiting your versatility. Select the neck pickup for a warm and dramatic jazz aria, then flip the switch to the bridge pickup, engage your favorite distortion, and unleash a wall of smooth distorted fury. There's no need to worry about feedback; these pickups have a hot output, with low noise, so you can really crank up the gain.

Shorter Neck Length for Enhanced Playability

With a length of 24 inches between the nut and bridge, the Jaguar HH has slightly thinner frets. Grab a hold of your favorite chord with more confidence than ever -- the reduced space between frets means that stretching from fret to fret isn't such a daunting task. The Special Edition Jaguar HH also features a 7.25-inch neck radius, which is slightly rounder read more than typical fretboards. Dig in to your favorite bar chords with reduced fret buzz, dead notes, and unwanted harmonics. The enhanced playability will allow you to focus all of your attention on where it matters most: the music.

Easy Control and Premier Hardware

The body of the Jaguar HH guitar -- similar to some of the higher-end Fenders -- is made of alder. Alder has an enduring, clear, full-bodied sound with excellent sustain. The body and headstock feature a gorgeous gloss black finish for a striking visual appeal. The Adjusto-Matic bridge makes altering your intonation a breeze, and is configured for the rounder neck radius. Forget about plastic hardware: the Special Edition Jaguar HH ups the ante with chrome hardware that gives a sleek and sultry look to a well-outfitted guitar.

I'm in hopes that this old girl will keep going longer than me. And I have no fear that it won't be, it is rock solid from A to Z ! One of the nicest playing, sounding and engineered guitars that Ive played. Thanks Fender !

Sound
MIJ black beauty with twin hummers, very eye catching and very well made. Excellent detail work all over guitar. Can sound ES335-ish or Tele-like, play with your hummer heights to find you sound but it'll be there. Mine is studio used with a Line 6 Flexton 3 2x12 and they compliment each other to a "T". Tried 10s but went back to 09s. A solid buy at this money. Highly recommend one. Switches are a headache until you get onto them. Could use a cut switch to reduce hummer to single coil but these stock hummers are pretty decent. I have a MIM Candy Apple Red Jaguar s/s on order, I'm hoping the MIM quality is as good as this. Will let everyone know.

Features
Alder body, maple/rosewood neck with great factory fret work. Hummers sound pretty decent for a Fender. Tuners are small, may be trouble with big hands and fingers. Other than that, this beauty is a winner all the way. I especially like the radius rod opening on headstock rather than pulling neck to adjust relief. I set mine at .008" and with 09s it fingers great.

Ease of Use
No manual comes with it, pretty much user friendly anyhow. You'll be making music in a short while, but don't look read more for a strat sound, Its close but no cigar.

Quality
MIJ guitars are tops in my books, very well made with excellent detail everywhere. Great sounding woods make it a winner for sure !

Value
Excellent bang for your buck !

Manufacturer Support
I've never dealt with Fender supoort but hear bad vibes about that !

The Wow Factor
Very sexy appearing to both men and women and very practical on top of it. A well engineered model with short neck makes playing a breeze. Leo was ahead of his time with these !
