Description

Fender's top-selling Dyna-Touch series of amps have undergone some serious upgrades, thanks to the fine folks on their DSP design team. These amps have it all under one roof: tone, dynamics, road-proven toughness, and great value. All Dyna-Touch models retain the same analog channel-switching format as their predecessors, but with all new handcrafted DSP effects including Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Flange, Tremolo, and more. The degree of DSP control increases proportionally to the size of the amp. Dyna-Touch amplifiers offer premium performance for today's guitarist. Whether you play Blues, Jazz, Metal, or whatever, you'll find your tone in one of these amps!

The Champion 30 DSP delivers 30 watts to its onboard 10 in. Fender Special Design speaker. Its DSP effects include Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Flange, and Tremolo. The Champion 30 also provides independent Volume controls for each of its 2 channel (Normal and Drive). Other features include Fender's "Smooth Clipping" circuit, designed to simulate Tube Distortion.

"Great starter or second amp"

Feature:
Onboard DSP very good for the limited money spent. Classic Fender tone controls, cosmetics, and blackface front panel layout.

Quality:
Built like a Fender. My Fender Deluxe Reverb (not a reissue) is 40 years old.

Value:
For the money, a quality unit.

Desirability:
Kicks ass for its size. Lots of features. Very portable. Ideal for practice, rehearsal, small gigs when you don't need crushing volume. Classic Fender blackface cosmetics.

Sound:
Typical Fender sound, very similar to vintage and modern tube amps.

Support:
I have communicated with Fender product support through their website, and they are reasonably good at responses. All current product manuals are downloadable in Adobe Acrobat format. There are any number of third-party and aftermarket Fender amp knowledge experts. Check out the Fender Amp Field Guide at www.ampwares.com/ffg/ (a zZounds business partner).

Overall:
I needed a portable rehearsal amp with sufficient volume to be heard with drums, and this one fills the bill. Tonally it sounds pretty much like my pre-CBS Deluxe Reverb.

"THE GREATEST AMP FOR A REAL GUITAR PLAYER!!!!!!!!"

Feature:
The features on this amp are some of the best I've ever heard. The DSP features are very unique and the availibility of sounds you can produce without fx pedals is amazing.

Quality:
The product is made very well, but the cosmetics are a little plain.

Value:
No

Desirability:
This "sex appeal" of the product is not compelling at all. However, it is a very practical addition to any setup.

Sound:
This amplifiers sound is very crisp. The tone rings in your ears.

Overall:
This product will keep any avid player pleased for a very long time. With it's many effects and quality sound it should be a definite addition to anyone's setup.
