Fender Bassbreaker 45 Guitar Amplifier Head (1/45 Watts)

No longer available at zZounds
Continuously vary the output of this flagship amp from 1 to 45 watts. Plug into either Normal or Bright channels, or choose Both to mix your tone to taste.

The late-'50s tweed-covered Fender Bassman is often called "the grandfather of all amps." It is beloved by guitarists worldwide for its simplicity, versatility, dynamic range, warm tube overdrive, stage-filling power and rugged roadworthiness.

Bassbreaker series guitar amplifiers continue Fender's storied lineage with a kind of "parallel evolution" that evokes the dawn of hard rock. Bassbreaker takes the original Bassman design and breaks away with features including dark gray lacquered tweed covering, refined pointer knobs and unique circuitry plus power tubes and speakers hinting at the U.K. amps that "borrowed" Fender circuits in the 1960s. The sound is one of pure tube greatness.

The Bassbreaker 45 is the 45-watt flagship model that leads a first-rate lineup of lower-wattage models, all with pro-level tone and performance for today's rock players.

Fender's Rick Heins shows off the Bassbreaker 45:

Great amp, lots of fun and easy to use. Only thing missing is a made in USA logo (made in Mexico)
Sound
The amp has as much low end as you would expect. I even had to dial a little bit out. The wattage control lets you get that thick overdriven sound at reasonable volumes. Using a ABY switcher really opens up what this amp can do with the blendable channel. Dont expect that high gain crunch but it does the blown out fuzz pretty perfectly.
Features
The wattage control is awesome... You can get that "Dimed" sound without peeling the paint off the walls. I love the"both" input concept so you can Blend the channels without an ABY. Would have been nice to have a footswitch included. The impedence selector is also another plus.
Ease of Use
Easy to EQ, your volume is your gain.
Quality
The handle has already come loose... Tightend back up but it was a little concerning for a new piece of gear...
Value
It is worth what you save from buying a Marshall Bluesbreaker!
Manufacturer Support
No issues!
