The new American Standard Jazz Bass is an even finer player's instrument-a modern interpretation of Fender's classic instrument for today's players. Features include their new high-mass vintage bridge, a thinner finish undercoat that lets the body breathe and improves resonance, new and improved Fender tuning keys that keep the classic look but are 30 percent lighter, a richer and deeper neck tint for a more elegant appearance, a great-looking glossed maple or rosewood fingerboard and satin back for smooth playability, a new Fender-exclusive SKB molded case and a gorgeous new Blizzard Pearl finish option. About This Product!
Description
Fender's versatile American Jazz Bass guitar features the innovative S-1 switching system, which gives you great Jazz Bass and Precsion Bass guitar tones from one instrument.

Pushing the S-1 switch reconfigures the pickup wiring from parallel to series, resulting in a fatter, almost humbucking sound similar to that of a Precision. Other features include a solid Alder or Ash body (depending on color) and a graphite-reinforced, modern C-shaped Maple neck with a satin polyurethane finish and Rosewood fingerboard.

Fender American Jazz Electric Bass (Rosewood, with Case) Reviews

"Bottom man"
Feature:
My only problem with the Bass is that unless the volume knobs are at the same volume level you get a buzz through your amp. Some amps worse than others. At church I play through a Hartke and it really gives you a loud buzz through the amp if your volume knobs aren't set the same. Through my SWR at home it's not as bad.

Quality:
My only problem is the buzzing issue with the volume knobs.

Value:
This Bass is definently worth the money.

Desirability:
I'm really happy with this Bass. It looks great and sounds awsome.

Sound:
That sweet Fender tone is ever present. It's got the killer Fender JBass sound I'm looking for.

Ease of Use:
This Bass is a snap to get a great sound out of.

Support:
Haven't needed it yet.

Overall:
This will be my number one bass.
