I had the opportunity to play three similarly priced 12-string guitars before I ordered mine from zZounds. The Takamine (+$300), Martin (+$200) and this one, the Fender Jumbo. I had a friend listen while his back was turned. I played the same riff and chords on all three. He couldn't hear a discernible difference. I never thought I'd buy a Fender acoustic, but I did. I play out about once a month and have recorded with this guitar. The jumbo sound is awesome. One thing you must do, and I promise you'll thank yourself, have it professionally set up (around $90 for a 12-string) and you'll be absolutely amazed at the playability and action and sound. It even rivals the Martins and Taylors in the thousands. Yeah, I was pretty shocked myself. Of all the guitars I have (Martin, Taylor, Ibanez, etc), this is by far the best buy yet at only $550! My only gripe is that it comes without a case, but again, it's only $550!
