One Triplebucker, 5 Pickup Combinations

The Modern Player Dimension Bass offers a refreshingly rich tonal range for a guitar with only a volume knob and a 5-way rotary selector. That's because the combination of a single triple-coil rail pickup with a five-way pickup selector switch allows for numerous tonal combinations in and of itself. The five pickup combinations are front coil, front and middle coils, all three coils, middle and rear coils, and the rear coil by itself. The Fender Modern Player series now brings you a greater dimension in Fender bass sound and style with the Modern Player Dimension Bass. In every way, from its distinctive body shape to its easy-access truss rod adjustment wheel to its single three-coil Triplebucker bass pickup and special electronics it's a bold step forward in modern Fender bass for the bold modern player.

Modern Player Dimension Bass controls include a master volume and a special five-position rotary pickup selector switch that delivers enormous tonal versatility from the three-coil pickup (front coil alone, front and middle coil together, all three coils together, middle and rear coils together, rear coil alone). Other features include a maple neck with "C"-shaped profile and five-bolt joint, 9.5"-radius maple (Olympic White model) or rosewood (Candy Apple Red and Charcoal Transparent models) fingerboard with 21 jumbo frets, single-ply black pickguard and vintage-style black plastic Jazz Bass control knobs, and four-saddle Fender HiMass bridge. Available in Candy Apple Red, Olympic White and Charcoal Transparent.

I bought this bass as backup bass to use because my regular C.F. Martin acoustic bass is at the Martin factory getting a neck reset. I wanted something fun to fool around with while my Martin was in thew shop - so this was purchased as something different to play on for a month or two. But the funny thing was it turned out to be a very likable and very easy to play bass that I really enjoy! The newly designed pickup is fantastic! Great selection of tones!

Musical Background:

Play out 1-2 times a week. Own several Martin guitars and a some vintage Fender Basses.
