About This Product!
Description
Docs
The Acoustasonic Junior is an all-around performer for all "acoustic" musicians and performers: Guitarist, Bouzouki players, Violinists, Sarods, and Ouds.

Unlike other "acoustic" amps, which can be nothing more than modified small PAs, the Acoustasonic Junior is a high performance music system that has been painstakingly voiced for acoustic instruments. The exclusive "String Dynamics" control (proprietary technology) dynamically suppresses the unwanted high frequency distortions present in all piezo-electric pickups.

"This a great little amp for a great price."
As expected, the Fender Acoustasonic Junior is a great little amp and lives us to the Fender name - looks great, sounds great. It seems suitable for practice as well as small gigs, but anyting else would require a bigger amp or routing through a PA system. Hey, what do expect out of a 40 X 40 watt system anyway?

I read in another review that there is distortion above volume level 5. I did not find this to be the case. My amp sounds clear through level 7. I dared no go any higher, which brings me to my only complaint. The feedback notch does not work as well as I thought it would. However, this is my first amplified acoustic experience, so I may not be the best judge of this. Sure it reduces feedback, but at volume levels that I wouldn't expect feedback from. I got quite a lot of feedback from some fairly modest volume levels when I was standing 8 feet from the amp. I feel Fender should put more R&D into this area and make the feedback supression more robust.

The volume knobs stick out a little from the case and could be knocked off, so care must be applied then manuvering the amp in tight spaces. However, adding shorter knobs would make them hard to reach and adjust. There is no easy solution to this issue.

I highly recommend this hearty little amp and am enjoying it a great deal. I am glad that Fender hasn't let the quality slip over the years. Also, the speed and handling of my order from this company was great. I will definately use them again. Play on!!!

"Stellar for the price; classic Fender reverb; yummy!"
Bought mine new in Germany, in 220v Euro-spec configuration. All features and controls are the same, though. Use it both as a practice amp and gigging monitor. Agree with previous reviewers that controls are confusing. Fender should simplify the layout a bit. However, time spent at the controls will be greatly rewarded. You will grow to LOVE this amp! I run a Guild F65CE and a Takamine F360S through it. The vocal input sounds full and natural using a . The reverb and chorus rival a Twin Chorus. Chorus light switches between red and green to indicate interval, which makes it easy to adjust in low-light gigging situation...aren't they all? Seems to be well built, although I haven't had it long enough to report on reliability. Vintage tweed look gets alot of compliments, though. Compared to a Strawberry Blonde amp, and felt this sounded much more airy and natural. A bit noisy when no signal running through, but that's the nature of every non-tube amp I've used.
