What's special about this item?

Feature: What it does:
S-1 switching system On-board series/parallel wiring voices
Contoured heel Rounded heel for easy access to high frets
Staggered-height tuning machines More string tension across nut, enhances sustain
Noiseless N3 pickups Stacked design, vintage tone and dynamics

When something works, you don't mess with it. That's why the Fender Telecaster has seen only minor design tweaks in over six decades of production. Fender's American Deluxe Telecaster delivers all the twang and slappy, bell-like tones you'd expect from an Tele, plus the benefit of modern electronics and American-made construction.

Classic Appeal

The American Deluxe Tele sports all the features you'd expect on a American Deluxe, with chrome hardware, an elegantly contoured body made of select alder, and a maple 25.5" scale neck. The rosewood neck features 22 medium jumbo frets, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and a 9.5" to 14" compound radius. It's even got locking tuners, so you can bend up and down the neck to your heart's content and you won't go out of tune.

N3 Noiseless Pickups

Traditional Fender Teles are equipped with single-coil pickups, which amplify to a bright, crisp sound. While this grants a unique twangy character, traditional single-coil pickups are also prone to generating a background hum. That's why this Tele is equipped with modern N3 Noiseless pickups -- so you get all that Tele vibe without the hum.

Modern Twang

Updated electronics give this Telecaster a little extra punch. The no-load tone control knob lets you bypass the tone pots altogether, so you can feed your amp with straight Tele tones. What's more, this Tele features Fender's S-1 switch. This lets you toggle the pickups' wiring between series and parallel. Normally, Tele pickups are read more wired in parallel, but running them in series makes these single-coils respond more like humbuckers, allowing fattier sounds than you could get with a traditional Tele.

Fender American Deluxe Telecaster RW

Tone... Tradition... Innovation. Fender's American Deluxe Telecaster(R) is the 21st century way to rock Tele style! The compound radius fretboard allows effortless string bending anywhere along the neck, and staggered locking tuners improve tuning stability for stunt guitarists who like to bend behind the nut. N3 Noiseless pickups provide improved Telecaster tones for snappy bell-like chime with no hum; other features include a bound-top body with belly cut, S-1 switching, chromed brass bridge saddles and beveled neck heel. This version of the Fender American Deluxe Telecaster features a Rosewood fretboard for slightly warmer tone.

I really think this guitar could be your number one main axe easy. I guess if you got a pile of money you might find something higher end, but I believe you'd probably be playing a guitar beyond your means just for cosmetics.
Sound
Sounds like a Tele...Snappy and responsive...Gritty
Features
Came with a Strap and strap locks to keep your guitar from flying out into the crowd during a monster solo. The volume cleans up the grit with backing her down about a notch or two when you don't want the tele growl for a piece. The s-1 pickup switching is nice but real subtle.
Ease of Use
Plays like a Dream! The compound radius fingerboard is amazing! Running a lead is nice with the fretboard radius and 22 med jumbo frets.
Quality
This guitar is really put together well. Everything is solid and fit. Road ready and will probably last a lifetime with proper care.
Value
Worth every penny! You will not find anything else in this price range built this well or looking this nice. Fenders quality control is on top of things and has fair pricing unlike a lot of the other guys.
Manufacturer Support
Don't know haven't had to deal with them.
The Wow Factor
I got mine in Olympic Pearl with rosewood and it looks Stunning, pic's don't do it justice.
