Eve SC204s use an innovative ribbon tweeter design, a large rear rectangular bass port, and DSP filter options to deliver a sound that's anything but small.

Let Eve Audio's SC204 powered studio monitors be your second set of ears. At home or in a music or post-production studio, these small-format speakers provide big sound for a range of playback and monitoring applications. Bi-amplified with 100 total watts, they utilize ribbon tweeters and large rear bass ports to deliver even response, so their sonic signature remains balanced whether you're monitoring at low levels or as loud as these little guys can go.

Surprisingly Big Sound

Despite their compact size, SC204 monitors pack a powerful punch for mixing and tracking. Powerfully tight, accurate, precise sound reproduction is made possible by a 4-inch SilverCone woofer built with a lightweight yet rigid honeycomb structured diaphragm, supported by a magnet system with a 1-inch voice coil. This ported monitor also features Eve Audio's proprietary AMT ribbon tweeter and PWM amplifier combination for a smooth, well-rounded response no matter what you pump through it.

Onboard DSP Electronics You'll Actually Want to Use

What really sets Eve speakers apart from those other ribbon-tweeter monitors is their precise, high-resolution DSP electronics. With one front-panel push knob, you're in control of several filter sections, volume, and phase settings. The knob's LED ring can be dimmed, and you can also block settings with a DIP switch on the back of your monitor. And Eve's DSP settings are easy to use -- you'll never have to plug the speakers into your computer and use read more control-panel software. It's all supported by a 192 kHz/24-bit A/D converter from Burr-Brown, so the DSP section gets the most pristine signal possible, and the output of the DSP section directly feeds the amplifiers. These speakers will make you a DSP believer!

Unique Bass Port Drives Away Distortion

For big, punchy bass with little to no distortion, the SC204 monitor sports a large rear rectangular port with no hard edges. Its efficient bass port design minimizes the occurrence of harsh low frequencies, so you can turn up the volume without screwing up your bass.

Compact Size for Smaller Studios

Want detailed highs, robust mids, and punchy lows in a seriously slim speaker size? You got it. These two-way studio monitors work well as a second pair of speakers for your main setup or as your primary monitors in small studios or rooms short on real estate. Threaded screw inserts on the bottom and the rear of the unit allow you to mount the SC204 on a standard microphone or speaker stand. To save precious studio space, you can also use the back plate to mount the monitor on the wall.

Eve Audio SC204 Active Studio Monitor

Eve Audio SC204s are the smallest speakers in the Eve Audio studio monitors line. And they were built with quality in mind.

If you are working at home, or in a music or post-production studio, a small pair of monitors should not compromise the quality of your results. It should serve as a second pair of ears. The SC204 may have a small footprint. But don't let their size deceive you, these monitors sound bigger than many monitors twice their size!

The SC204 also have the convenience of threaded screw inserts on the bottom and the back. That way, you can mount your SC204 on a regular microphone or speaker stand, or use the back plate for different wall mounting options available on the market.

Tech Talk

The SC204 uses a 4" SilverCone woofer with honeycomb structured diaphragm, driven by a sophisticated magnet system with a 1" voice coil responsible for creating a greater linear excursion. This produces a bigger dynamic than one would assume in a monitor of such small proportions. As a result, in addition to the unsurpassed audio transparency of the proprietary AMT tweeter and PWM amplifier combination, this SC204 will surprise you with a very powerful, tight and precise low end.

The AMT tweeter is Eve Audio's own proprietary technology that follows the rule of no off-the-shelf components in order to achieve superior results. The preciseness and detail of the high frequency range of EVE monitors, coupled with the general tightness of the bass and mid-range, make the SC204 a superb speaker that is easily used on the road (due to its reduced size) or as a second pair of speakers for your main setup.

DSP

With every EVE Audio speaker, you also get high resolution DSP electronics. One push knob operation and you will have access to accurate volume control and several different filter settings that will help you tailor your monitors to the way you work.

The DSP engine is supported with a high quality A/D converter from Burr-Brown, which delivers a pristine signal to the DSP section. And since the PWM amplifiers are directly connected to the DSP, no additional conversion is necessary.

Bass Port Design

It's all in the geometry. One of the downside effects of port compression is bass distortion. As you turn up the volume, the efficiency of the port reduces and distortion will increase.

The Eve Audio SC204 offers a large rear rectangular port with no hard edges in the bass port designs. That's one of the reasons EVE monitors have a high efficiency on the lower frequencies.

The results? High sound pressures with tight and punchy bass frequencies that don't cause port distortion. Crank up the volume, and EVE will deliver a round bass. With no holes to look at every time you glance at your speakers.
