The Genera HD yeilds an aggressive rimshot and balanced response. This durable two-ply head (7.5mil external, 5mil internal) with 2mil overtone control ring barks live, yet is ideal for the studio. The addition of small vents around the perimeter of the dry version eliminate additional overtones and create a more focused sound.

I love this head and have used it over the years both live and in the studio... I play a lot of brushes, and the coated head is what I need. Also, the vented head reduces unwanted overtones and is easy to tune --- at least in my experience.
