This ESP shred machine sports HSS pickups, a thin U-shape maple neck with maple fretboard, double-locking Floyd Rose trem, and a stunning quilted maple top.

Let your fingers fly their fastest with the ESP LTD MH-103QM electric guitar. This speed-demon axe delivers troves of powerful tone with its ESP LH-150 humbucker and pair of LS-120 single-coils. Between the HSS pickup config and five-setting pickup selector switch, you can dial in the sound you want for just about any occasion. A resonant basswood body with a quilted maple top is cut into a sleek, modern, asymmetrical double-horned contour, and a bolt-on maple neck brings in a touch of high end and a wide tonal reach of 24 XJ frets. Any shredder will tell you that speedy fingers and speedy axes go hand in hand -- but it's rare to find such a great-looking ESP electric guitar for this nice of a price.

Basswood and Maple Body

As a guitar tonewood, basswood keeps your sound even and well-balanced from note to note, with a slight push on the middle frequencies -- great for the lead guitarist. Maple brings in a slightly rounded brightness that comes through when you want a little extra sonic bite. The asymmetrical double-cutaway body features a beveled cut on the back for your left wrist to comfortably rest against while you're aiming for those higher frets.

Bolt-On Maple Neck

When compared to a set-neck design, bolt-on necks yield more snap and twang, especially when you hit your strings aggressively. Maple will only add to the snap. This will help your signal cut through the mix, especially when you dial up the higher frequencies via your tone control knob. All 24 frets read more boast a comfortable action that'll encourage you to push your fingers to their limits.

One ESP LH-150 Humbucker and Two LS-120 Single-Coils

The MH-103QM comes with an HSS pickup configuration. At the bridge you have a hot-sounding ESP LH-150 humbucker. This pickup forges a biting tone perfect for rock or metal. Use your pickup selector switch to play around with your two LS-120 single-coil pickups in the middle and at the neck. Both of these pickups yield a slightly thicker sound that harnesses the slight midrange punch from the basswood body. You have five settings to choose from. That's a helpful load of dynamic tone from a single guitar.

Dive-Bombing Floyd Rose Special Bridge

If you're a shredder, then you'll absolutely love the MH-103QM's Floyd Rose Special tremolo bridge. This secure system gives your strings as much playing room as possible without losing their footing. Tune your strings, lock them down at the nut, make final tuning adjustments at the bridge, and you're ready to go. You can dive your strings low, and return them to their default tension without losing intonation.

Chosen for great price, and it has the pick-up config & floyd rose that I prefer, great looks, payment plan, and ESP's good reputation. I woule definitely want another like it if something unfortunate were to happen .
Sound
This guitar has an amazing tone! It even sounds good unplugged. The humbucker is strong, yet well defined, and the single-coils have a great jangle, while the 2 "in-between" have the great phasey tone that just jumps out at you.
Features
No accessories, except for the tremolo bar and the hex-wrenches. But none other needed.
Ease of Use
The Volume knob, tone knob and 5-way switch are located in a logical way. The Floyd Rose was set up flawlessly and ready to go...This guitar has incredible sustain.
Quality
The finish is flawless, it had a great lustre. Everything feels solid, and would not hesitate to use this guitar for gigs. I would use a back-up, only because of the nature of a Floyd Rose, which will go out of tune when a string is broken. I believe it is built to last for years of use.
Value
This guitar could eaily sell for 2x the price, very high quality for this price point.
Manufacturer Support
Unrated, has not been needed.
The Wow Factor
This guitar is beautiful and very unique looking. It will stand out in a crowd!
