The ESP M-1000 starts out with stunning flamed maple top found a top an alder body. The flamed maple top doesn't just add to the look of the guitar but also adds in conjunction with the ESP M-1000's alder body a killer tone with warm lows and screeching highs. The ESP M-1000 has a set-thru neck design for massive sustain and strength. The maple fretboard on the ESP M-1000 is supple and fast enough for the flashiest of shredders out there. It also helps the M-1000 that they used a extra thin U-Shaped Neck, thinner necks mean quicker maneuverability around the fretboard. Finishing the ESP M-1000 are the pair of EMG 81 pickups, tuned to run hotter than any pickup out-there but clean as a whistle when you need to tone down your sound.

"Comfortable and sexy with a roar of fury.."
Sound: I am in love with the dark tone this guitar gives me when plugged into my Peavey 6505+ 112 combo. It really is one of the best metal tones I've heard. The EMG'S combined with the alder body make this guitar what it is. One thing I've noticed with a lot of EMG pickups is that there is this "sparkle" in the tone, which I like. Its hard to explain, you just have to take a listen for yourself. You can get warm cleans as well, but you have to roll back the tone knob a tad as well as the volume knob while on the neck pickup to achieve this. Feature: The things I admire most on this guitar is the set-though neck which alows excellent upper fret access and note sustain, the Floyd Rose which is the 1000 series, which is very similar to the original Floyd Rose (best one you can buy). Also, I think the wood it's made of suits it well. Ease of Use: It is very well balanced and comfortable, that is probably what I like most about this guitar. It just feels right in your hands, not too heavy or light. When I'm trying out guitars, the number one thing that I need to have is comfortablity and this definetly has it. Quality: I haven't experienced any flaws at all. It is pristine. Value: I got a great deal on mine, I bought it for $650. I think the price is reasonable, but it shouldn't pass the $1,000 mark. Manufacturer Support: I bought mine used, so I never delt with a company directly but my friend who I bought it from didn't have any problems. The Wow Factor: The one I have is snow white, and it is definetly a looker. It has a very simple design, but its so desirable.. At least to me. Some people may not like the abolone binding, but I think it makes it look unique. I really like the reverse headstock as well. Overall: I plan on keeping this for a very long time, I can't see myself being dissapointed with it. It definetly has a great tone for metal. The way I would describe it is "roaring, and dark". If you want a guitar with a simple design that is straight to the point with great features and great playabilty, I would choose this. It's just so smooth! Check it out!

Sound: Wow this thing sounds amazing when plugged into a marshall. put it this way.... if Kirk Hammet played this, the band would be much more popular Feature: the floyd rose on this is incredible Ease of Use: very easy to use. playing solos feels good on this Quality: yes Value: great value. this thing is amazing Manufacturer Support: BLAH!!! The Wow Factor: my favorite part if this guitar is the inlays Overall: 1 sentence. HOLY FREAKING CRAP THIS GUITAR IS AMAZING!!
