I expect to be satisfied with this LP 100 for as long as I live. I may add more Guitars to my collection but this is definitely a keeper.

Sound
I prefer the Open Coils over the chome domes. Just a personal preference. I think they are warmer and at the same time sharper than the chrome domes. I'm basically born and raised on Fender but also like and respect the Gibson sound. I've been playing and recording professionally since the 60's. As far as Gibson vs. Epiphone goes, I prefer Epiphone. This thing has a GREAT sound and the sustain is fantastic. One thing that totally surprised me is that it sounds better on my VOX Amp than my Marshall Amp! Go figure! I don't do live work anymore but do a lot of recording and this LP 100 will get used a lot.

Features
This thing is put together very well. One thing I love about Epiphone/Gibson is that they include a LOT of printed material unlike Fender. It even came with a very nice cord and all the wrenches needed to set it up or change the set up.

Ease of Use
Very easy to get great sounds from this. The controls are flawless. It came out of the box ready to tune and play. The action and neck feel great.

Quality
Factory control could use some help. The strings were just hanging but that really didn't matter. I re strung it with a set of Di Addario strings anyway like I do with all my Guitars. Everything elese fit perfectly. read more

Value
Very well worth the price. This is an excellent product.

Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to deal with them yet but the info packed with the LP was very complete and on line warranty registration was a breeze.

The Wow Factor
I LOVE the Cherry Burst finish. Again, just personal preference. I think LP's need a sunburst look. The Cherry Burst is really excellent. Even the darker parts of it let the wood grain show through. The gloss is perfect.
