Deigned and engineered in the U.S.A. by Gibson, the So Cal 50H features an all-tube signal path with a solid state rectifier. Two distinct channels share a specially designed 3-band EQ that is selectable between Independent and Interactive modes with a Contour Control on the Overdrive Channel to dial in that "Sweet Spot." A tube powered, transformer drives the spring Reverb.
Selectable 50W Class AB (Pentode Mode) or 25W Class AB (Triode Mode) combined with multiple speaker output jacks provide endless set-up options and extension cabinet possibilities.
The Epiphone So Cal 50H features a 16GA (folded and spot welded) steel chassis with a sturdy 11-ply Birch cabinet with metal protective corners.
Selectable 50W Class AB (Pentode Mode) or 25W Class AB (Triode Mode) combined with multiple speaker output jacks provide endless set-up options and extension cabinet possibilities.

"BUY THIS AMP before they raise the price! "
Feature:
Very Basic features which is nice although an effects loop would have been nice.
Quality:
It is built like a TANK! After over two years it is still just LIKE NEW!
Value:
You can't find a better sounding tube amp for this price anywhere!
Desirability:
She SHINES AND SPARKLES IN THE LIGHT!
Sound:
This amp is a little of all of the TRUE GREATS! It is a little Mesa, a little Marshall and a little VOX all in one! GREAT SOUNDS! The only con I can say is that it has no effects connector. The pedal really makes it great! They are easily available and only around $30.00. I have heard you can swap the tubes for a different sound but mine is perfect for me! I cannot say enough about Epiphone products.

If you know how to turn knobs you can use it.
Support:
Never needed them for the amp but have for my guitars and they have taken fantastic care of me!
Overall:
FOREVER!

the sound.... ahhhh the sound! it sounds like something straight out of the Fu Manchu album King of the Road. I love it, although to get the diversity i wanted, it required some pedals.

couldnt be simpler, just like it was 40 years ago, with the added second channel
