everything i needed!

rock-solid

Value:
the best amp for this money on the market

Desirability:
this amp is sweet looking and sounding

Sound:
the sound.... ahhhh the sound! it sounds like something straight out of the Fu Manchu album King of the Road. I love it, although to get the diversity i wanted, it required some pedals.

Ease of Use:
couldnt be simpler, just like it was 40 years ago, with the added second channel

Support:
i have had no problems so far.

Overall:
i love it and do not plan on replacing it.

Deigned and engineered in the U.S.A. by Gibson, the So Cal 50H features an all-tube signal path with a solid state rectifier. Two distinct channels share a specially designed 3-band EQ that is selectable between Independent and Interactive modes with a Contour Control on the Overdrive Channel to dial in that "Sweet Spot." A tube powered, transformer drives the spring Reverb.

Selectable 50W Class AB (Pentode Mode) or 25W Class AB (Triode Mode) combined with multiple speaker output jacks provide endless set-up options and extension cabinet possibilities.

The Epiphone So Cal 50H features a 16GA (folded and spot welded) steel chassis with a sturdy 11-ply Birch cabinet with metal protective corners.
All-tube 2-channel tube amp head! Two distinct channels with shared EQ, with an extra Contour control on the overdrive channel. Spring reverb. Switchable 50-watt pentode class AB or 25-watt triode class AB modes.
