The lefty Les Paul Custom Pro also brings you classic gold hardware, fully bound body, neck and headstock, and pearloid inlays, for a look that is 'dressed to kill.'

Body

The left handed Les Paul Custom Pro from Epiphone features a solid mahogany body with the added twist of a maple veneer top, which adds a subtle 'bite' to the Les Paul Custom's legendary tone. The Epiphone Custom Pro lefty also features beautiful 5-ply (white/black) binding around the maple veneer top and the back along with single-ply cream binding around the body.

Neck

Just like Les' personal Custom, the lefty Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro guitar has a solid mahogany neck with a 24.75-inch scale that's hand-fitted with a glued-in joint for optimum neck-to-body contact, which allows the lefty handed Les Paul Custom Pro to resonate as one solid piece of wood. The Pau Ferro fingerboard features pearloid block inlays and has a 12-inch radius, a 1.68 inch nut and 22 medium-jumbo frets.

The mahogany neck has a very comfortable and super fast SlimTaper D profile, the most popular profile found on today's Les Pauls. The classic Pau Ferro fingerboard is bound in white and the clipped dovewing headstock features 5-ply (white/black) binding along with a '50s read more era/Custom-style split diamond pearloid inlay and, of course, a vintage 'Epiphone' logo in pearloid. The Kalamazoo-era bell-shaped truss rod cover features 'Les Paul Custom Pro' in white silkscreen in tribute to Les' timeless design.

Classic Electronics

The Les Paul Custom Pro features Epiphone's ProBucker pickups, a 4-wire design with coil-tapping inspired by Gibson's legendary BurstBuckers. ProBucker pickups recreate the sound of the original hand-wound 'PAF' humbuckers. Epiphone ProBuckers feature all the same ingredients as original PAF and BurstBucker pickups, including Alnico II magnets, Elektrisola magnet wire, 18 percent nickel silver unit bases and covers, and pole screws, slugs and bobbins manufactured to Gibson's original specifications.

The Les Paul Custom Pro includes a ProBucker-2 humbucker in the neck position that is slightly overwound for greater definition at higher volumes. The bridge pickup is a ProBucker-3 humbucker, which is also slightly overwound to give your solos a wide tonal range. Each pickup features coil-tapping via a push/pull control at each pickup's volume knob, which gives the Les Paul Custom Pro the ability to be any guitar you can imagine. All volume and tone controls feature full-size 500K ohm potentiometers matched with Epiphone's rugged, all-metal, 3-way toggle pickup selector switch for long-lasting performance.

Loaded with premium add-ons!

Other premium features include Epiphone's LockTone Tune-o-matic/Stopbar combination bridge for increased sustain and easy string changes, 16:1 ratio Grover machine heads, a 7-layer bound body, a 5-layer bound headstock, and a comfortable single-layer bound Pau Ferro fingerboard.

Les Paul Custom History

The Les Paul Custom made its debut in 1954 after the initial success of the Les Paul Goldtop. Mr. Les Paul himself wanted to convey to audiences that the solid body electric guitar was not a fad but a superb and challenging instrument and that his signature axe, the Les Paul, was the king of all electric solid body guitars. So, Les requested a Les Paul with a custom color finish in solid black and solid white with gold hardware that would blend well with a tuxedo.

The result was the Les Paul Custom, or the 'tuxedo' Les Paul, as it became known among fans. The Les Paul Custom quickly became one of the most recognized guitars in the world and Les himself used his Les Paul Custom in concert, on his weekly television show with wife Mary Ford and on his album covers, including his famous duet with pal Chet Atkins, Chester and Lester.

I love this thing! Still can't believe what I paid for it. It's the full package. I can literally tweak this this beauty to get practically any sound I need, not to mention how sweet this thing looks. It reminds me of my
Sound
Sounds identical to the Gibson version just slightly muffled (Like a blanket over it) but don't get me wrong, the difference on the Gibby is NO FRIGGIN WAY worth $4000 more!! It sounded great out the box but Man, when I threw some Elixir string on this bad boy, it came to life!
Features
There are no useless features on this baby, I'm all over it! Lol!
Ease of Use
When I'm searching for a specific sound, I match a sound pretty quickly, especially with my amp n pedal features, I have no problem at all.
Quality
The only issue I had with this product was the toggle switch, it was defective right out of the box, probably from shipping but not a biggy at all. Either way I was gonna replace with a SwitchCraft. Which I did, works beautifully. I know the gold parts will fade with time but this baby's gonna last forever.
Value
This IS definately THEE best bang for your buck and so much more.
Manufacturer Support
I did contact Epiphone and Zzounds a couple time just out of curiosity and they both were very friendly and helpful and answered my questions very professionally and a quick reply.
