A Tradition of Excellence
The basis on which Gibson built their ES Series of guitars (some of the most lasting and important instruments in the development of Rock and Roll), the Epiphone Casino is truly a guitarist's guitar, rich in tradition, tone, and history. And at this price, it's the only Casino you can really ever count on to not break the bank!

Classic Construction, Classic Tone
The Casino's combination of a laminated Spruce arched top and hollow Maple body offers the discerning tone junkie a veritable smorgasbord of complex tones, rich harmonics and pleasing overtones. Unlike the ES335 or other semi-hollow instruments of this shape, the Casino is a fully hollow instrument. Though slightly more prone to high-gain feedback, an all-hollow guitar is offers richer resonance (true tone aficionados gladly make the tradeoff). This tone-machine's set Mahogany neck and array of dual P-90 dog-ear pickups deliver everything from singing sustain to chimey rhythm jangle, all at the flip of a switch or the stomp of a box. The combination of a Rosewood fretboard with the rest of these carefully selected tone woods create a wonderfully balanced instrument, both in sound and feel. The four top-mounted control knobs (volume and tone for each of the rhythm and lead pickups) allows for even further tweaking and tonal exploration, presenting a palette rich enough for even the most demanding six-string Centurion.

Like Shaking Hands with an Old Friend
Featuring the tried and true Gibson 24.75-inch scale length and 1.68-inch nut width, the Casino immediately feels as comfortable as a your favorite pair of jeans or a perfectly broken-in pair of boots. The neck profile is at once substantial and quick, capable of digging in for some open position chording or slithering around for snakey runs, double-stops, and pull-offs. The bound fretboard edges only add to this comfort, especially for all of you thumb over the top players out there.

Finishes Fit for (a) Prince
Available in 3 striking paint jobs and finishes (Cherry, Vintage Sunburst, and Natural), the Epi Casino has enough looks to keep up with whatever amount of costume changes you happen to throw into your set. Alternately, you can take the John Lennon approach by pulling off the pickguard and sanding off the finish down to the bare wood... heck, if it helps you write a song half as good as one of his, it would be well worth the effort. Tasteful appointments include a classic trapeze style bridge tailpiece, bound rosewood fretboard with handsome parallelogram inlays, bound body, chrome hardware, and oversized "open book" Epiphone headstock. This is not an instrument that screams garish pomp; instead, it gently exudes a sense of refined class and taste.
The Epiphone Casino Arch Top Guitar features two P90 pickups and chrome hardware. The scale is 24.75 in. and the nut width is 1.68 in. It has a set neck joint and neck material made of Mahogany. The fingerboard is Rosewood/ Parallelogram and the body material is made of laminated Maple. Natural finish.

"***A guitar for the ages***"
Feature:
It would be perfect if it wasn't for the tuners and pots. They stay in tune but they are not precise like my Les Paul or Fender. I intend to change them. Two tone, two volume and 3 way selector are pretty standard. The pots need to be changed, as well.

Quality:
Change out the POTS and Tuners and it's a quality guitar. I love mine. Some people don't like theirs and that's understandable. I've driven bad cars, owned bad guitars, etc. I was fortunate to get a great one. At least it's great to me.

Value:
For the price this is an amazing guitar. I like it a close 2nd to my Les Paul and miles ahead of my Strat.

Desirability:
It's the most beautiful guitar I own. Based on looks alone, it's a piece of art. Combine that with it's incredible functionality and you have something special.

Sound:
The P90 with the Hollow Body is an incredible combination. I am not playing metallica on this guitar, but I can play a variety of sounds/genres. It will feedback easily which can be a good thing. I strike the strings harder and the guitar responds with a bite. I hit them gently, the guitar responds with a delicate beauty.

Ease of Use:
This guitar has wonderful action and feel even with .10's. If you're looking for that John Lennon feel use .9's the way he did. At any rate, I use 10's and the tone is incredible. The feel is smooth and easy to bar for hours without feeling tired or hard weary.

Support:
Haven't had to deal with them.

Overall:
As long as it keeps working the way it is, I will be thrilled. I enjoy the guitar more than any except my Gibson Les Paul. Even then it's a close call. Keep in mind the Gibson cost 3 times as much.

"Buy it. Now."
Feature:
It's a great guitar. Period, end of story. Do not buy the Revolution re-issue. It's the same guitar mechanically, you're just paying for the "Lennon" name....

Quality:
My only complaint is the pickup switch: It's not that well made, compared to the quality put into the rest of the instrument.

Desirability:
I own it, and it's really freakin' sexy!

Sound:
The Casino is simply the bewst sounding guitar I have ever heard. There is a very good reason for it being a mainstay in The Beatles arsenal of axes they brought into the studio from about 1965-1970. This guitar sounds great, is easy to play, & is quite expressive. It's a fantastic recording guitar, and sounds: From the bassy sounds through the trebly leads.

Support:
Epiphone's customer service is great. They were very easy to reach and did solve my (minor) problem, which was a broken tone control knob.

Overall:
Throw out your Strat. If this product were stolen, I'd replace it.
