The Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Plus reverb pedal is the upgraded version of EHX's amazing Holy Grail reverb pedal, and it's raring to bring you that flooding wash of reverb you've always wanted. This tonally all-encompassing pedal is built with a durable and stable die-cast outer chassis; spring, hall, and room reverb settings; blend, amount, and reverb setting controls; and true bypass configuration allows for reverb time, damping, and modulation speed manipulation. Get your rig ready for some seriously atmospheric reverb that'll leave all ears thirsty for more.

Unmatchable Holy Grail Reverb Sound

Reverb pedals come in all shapes and sizes, and each brings something a little different to the table. Yet, no reverb gets quite as lush as the Holy Grail, and your Holy Grail Plus reverb pedal takes what the original offers and adds a room reverb setting as well as a multi-function control. Holy Grail pedals are among the best in the game, and this baby will be a part of your signal chain for life.

Three Controls Go a Long Way

Your Holy Grail Plus features three simple controls to structure your reverb settings. The Amount control determines the level of decay and dampening your signal gets. The Blend control will dial in the wet/dry ratio -- how much reverb you want mixed in with your signal -- and your Reverb knob lets you select spring, hall, room, or flerb settings. "Flerb" means flanger/reverb -- and it allows you to control this baby's modulation at varying read more rates.

Durable Casing for Stomp After Stomp

The Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Plus is built with a strong and reliable die-cast outer chassis that'll withstand extended usage. You can be sure that your axe's signal won't suffer any loss in integrity over time because this pedal is built to last gig after gig. Its inner circuitry is well protected from dust, dirt, and sweat, and the casing on this baby adds a nice touch of visual flair to your pedalboard. Add the Holy Grail Plus to your signal chain and let your sound fill the room with some cool tonal color.

Sound
This is a good sounding reverb unit. Very quiet at what would be considered "normal" reverb settings. Can get a tad bit noisy when you go over the top with the blend and amount knobs. The spring reverb sounds great....it's not as nice as the reverb tank in my 70s silver face twin reverb, but it does the job and doesn't weigh 70 pounds.

Features
The spring, hall, and room reverbs are all useful. The flerb is just plain fun and, when used at the right times, is actually a nice little bonus effect that this pedal can dish out. The blend knob is also a very nice feature. This is a well thought out pedal. A plate reverb would net this a 10.

Ease of Use
Pretty straightforward. You just have to understand that most EHX effects are don't really work like typical Boss effects; The range of the knobs on an EHX box generally have a much broader sweep. Once you figure out that anything past 1 O'Clock on the blend knob is going to be pure insanity (really, if you want a traditional reverb sound, you are only going to be working the blend and amount knobs between 11 and 1...anything more extreme in either direction can yield some odd effects) it's not too hard to dial in something close to what you are looking for.

Quality
I haven't had any problems with this box, but EHX effects are pretty legendary for poor solder joints on the input and output jacks. read more

Value
Reverb units are usually on the expensive side of the spectrum. This one is no different. $140 for a mass produced pedal is a good chunk of coin, but this is worth it.
