Sound: The sound I get from this piece of gear is just what I put into it. I am very impressed with the quality. Feature: I wish it had MIDI in and outs on it. But I don't work too much with MIDI at this time so it's no big deal. Quality: Great, nothing more to say. Value: Great price for the recording quality you will get with it. Only thing I wish it had was the MIDI. Other than that it is excellent. Manufacturer Support: I have yet to use the support so I will give it a ten. The Wow Factor: I own it! Overall: Great product, you won't go wrong buying one of these. Great for portable recordings.

"better than ok. not brilliant."
Sound: As a mic pre or ADC/DAC, this isn't the living end. But, for an all-in-one box to use with a notebook computer, the sound is clear and quite usable. For under $300, the sound is remarkably good. Feature: This does a lot: mic-pre, analog line in, digital i/o, and analog outs. But really, it only does one thing at a time. It's limited in many respects. I think the term "sound capture" is apt: It's ideal for 2-track live location recordings and simple projects. If you're Joe Superproducer, well, why are you even bothering to read this? Quality: This is a consumer-grade unit. The controls and jacks are PC mounted and won't take kindly to jostling. I give it 3 years before it hums and buzzes. Value: It's a value. It's very portable and sounds good. Manufacturer Support: The manual is easy to read. New drivers are available on their website. If you're looking for any manufacturer these days to hold your hand and help you figure out every little problem for you, save your money for a time machine. The Wow Factor: this is a stupid question. Overall: Do yourself a favor; record at the highest resolution you can and downsample it when it comes time to burn your cd.
