"Holy crap! This is unbelievable! You must have this!"

Sound:
I went to the music store to buy a Dean Backwoods 6 banjo, tuned for guitar players, but began to leave the store because it wasn't there. On my way out, I walked by some mandolins and began playing all of them, because I've never even held a mandolin in my life. I tested them all, and was amazed when I cam to this Dean Playmate mandolin. I started jamming on it, as if I had been playing one for 15 years. I love this thing, and for some odd reason play it better than a guitar. The guy said they are tuned upside down from a guitar, and I actually like that better. I been playing guitar for 9 years now, and because of this Dean, have learned that I love playing a mandolin much better than a guitar. Guitars seem as if THEY are the one's who are tuned backwards. Not mandolins! And plus, guitars seem like they have huge frets now, and are for beginners. I like mandolins better. Now I feel sad. I'm sorry Mr. Guitar! I like you too!

About This Product!
Description
The Dean Playmate Series offers perfect instrument starters for the beginning player.

About Dean Guitars
Dean Guitars was born in 1976, in the attic of the Chicago suburban childhood home of company founder Dean B. Zelinsky. The 18-year-old Zelinsky was convinced that guitar design and manufacturing had hit a wall. Rock music was huge and guitar makers were failing to keep up with the times. The world was ready for a guitar that looked, played, and sounded superior to what was available from manufacturers at that time. Zelinsky had a better idea.

What followed was a line of electric guitars that for the first time allowed players to play to their potential. With its highly visible V-shaped headstock and trademark wing logo, Dean became in effect, the first boutique guitar line in the history of rock music.

These guitars had to be played to be believed, and played they were! Dean guitars started showing up on rock stages worldwide, album covers, and especially on the newly emerging channel called "MTV". Dean Guitars were featured in the award-winning "MTV Video of the Year" 3 of the first 4 years running. By the time Dean created the famous Spinning Fur Guitars, Dean's early place in Rock history was firmly cemented.

Over a quarter century later, you can still buy that same USA made boutique Dean Guitar. Today, Dean Guitars has taken that same concept of creating a superior instrument to a whole new level. Dean is now a full line of fretted instruments including electric and acoustic guitars, basses, jazz guitars, resonators, banjos and mandolins. More importantly, Dean is dedicated to delivering these fine quality instruments at a value that is 2nd to none.

No longer do you need to be a platinum selling artist to play Dean!
