If you're looking for a great vintage sound, this PAF pickup is wound up for a rich, throaty tone that is sustained and articulate, without being too noisy.

One variation that's highly sought after by vintage PAF players is a pickup that is quiet, bright, and very dynamic. The PAF Master Neck Model is truly special. It has a great balance of full, richness with a throaty tone but it's not too fat and notes still come through nice and clear, with beautiful smooth and creamy highs. DiMarzio gave it just the right amount of windings to allow the pickup to sing, sustain and still be articulate. The PAF Master Neck Model: vintage just got better.

These pickups sound better than Duncan 59 pickups I own and I also prefer the the the 57 classic Gibson pickups in my sg. I cannot recommend them enough. I'd love to compare them to boutique p.a.f.s ...i bet they hold their own. I wanted antiquities however the 4wire setup is what drew me to these because I wanted propper paf humbucker tone but i wanted to coil tap them to also get fender esque tones and I will say they sound awesome coil tapped
