Plug your XLR microphone and 1/4" guitar cable into this pedal, sing, strum, and listen as the DigiTech Vocalist Live 5 generates natural-sounding harmonies!

With the DigiTech Vocalist Live 5 at your feet, your backup vocals can sound just as awesome as your guitar playing. This intelligent vocal harmony processor uses MusIQ technology to automatically generate accurate five-part harmony (your voice plus four harmonies) according to the chords you play. All you have to do is start strumming your guitar, and the Vocalist Live 5 will follow your every move with stunning vocals and studio-quality effects.

Real Vocal Harmonies

The Vocalist Live 5 can be your helping hand (or foot), even if you already have the vocal chops to back up your guitar. A fantastic composition and performance tool, the processor builds harmonies in the same key as the chords you play, providing immediate vocal ideas for songs, not to mention lush harmony to complement your own voice. It provides four-part harmony (plus your voice) and three more harmonies using the MusIQ sound engine, which keeps the Vocalist Live 5 from sounding fake.

Live Performance Tools

Play right out of the box with 100 factory presets, and have fun saving up to 100 of your own presets for instant recall. With the Vocalist Live 5, everything happens in real time -- you can even A/B between presets as you play, so you have the flexibility to switch to a totally different style mid-performance. You can correct your pitch in real time, adjust the natural sound of the harmonies via the Humanize function (do you want them to sound loose? tight?), and also give the harmonies male or read more female undertones using the Gender Control effect.

The Vocalist Live 5's generated vocals will sound as real as possible, like they came from real human vocal cords rather than a box on the floor -- and a built-in guitar tuner ensures that every element of your performance, your guitar included, is in tune and correct.

Smart Design for Easier Playing

It's easy to tap the right button while you play, thanks to an updated button footswitch layout that staggers footswitches on two tiers. Spaced neither too close nor too far apart, the five metal vacuum switches (Effect/Tuner, -Preset, +Preset, Part A/B, Harmony) are placed perfectly for your feet, so you don't hit the wrong one during a show.

Its display is bright and easy to read as well. Solidly constructed, the rugged Vocalist Live 5 will last through years of kicks and stomps.

Amazing clarity and natural sounding harmonies. There are plenty of factory presets and room for custom settings.I have used it for several venues from solo acoustic to full band. This thing really gets the crowds attention in a good way. The key to good sound is to set the harmony level below the clean vocal level. If the harmony levels are too high, they tend to sound mechanical. A little playing around with settings should produce a positive result. I've used this with a Shure SM58 and an Audio Technica AT2010. Both mics have worked well with no negative coloration of sound. I have also played my Taylor 414ce and PRS SE Custom through it. Both sound great but even with the signal boost, I am not getting as hot a signal on the Taylor as Digitech recommends. A quick word of advice...If you are running other pedals, go to this unit first and then to other effects. It requires a clean signal for Music IQ. This unit will not make a bad singer sound good but if you have basic singing ability, the Vocalist Live 5 will enhance your performance.
