"If you are into electronic drums this is the Hihat controller to have!!!"

I have a Roland SPD 20 I use sometimes for small jobs as a kit and I also have the Yamaha DTX 10 kit I use for live and studio. The DDrum 4 brain along with the Hihat controller (and cymbals) is the most real sounding and playing I have ever used. I have 2 ddrum4 brains live and in the studio one for kit the other for cymbals and it by far is the most real playing, sounding kit you can buy today. If you go to the ddrum web site and download the new sounds you will be amazed, my engineer was. If anyone would like anymore info on this setup e-mail me I would be glad to help anyway I can. Believe me I know how hard it is to buy something you know nothing about especially when it's not cheap.

About This Product!
Description
The new cymbal and hi-hat controller will revolutionize the way drummers feel about electronic cymbals. The cymbal's playing area consists of a 10 in. round metal plate covered by a thin rubber material to make it quiet. Your drumstick will feel like it is striking a real cymbal. In addition, the cast cymbal utilizes ddrum's multi-sample technology offering multiple samples that can be stored as one sound.

The new and innovative hi-hat triggering interface in an updated ddrum4 brain makes it possible to play a continuous 3-way action (foot, open, and closed sounds). The playing response is as close as you can get to the "real thing." Just like the ddrum cymbal, the Cast Hi-hat's playing surface is rubber-coated metal for that right feel. The hi-hat mounts onto a traditional, standard hi-hat stand. The Cast Hi-hat comes in 2 parts: The actual holder with the playing surface and a specially developed, adjustable hi-hat clutch.

The compact design, "real feel," and versatility of the ddrum4 Cast Precision Pads make them truly amazing. Each pad, featuring a real drumhead, is assembled with a rugged, cast aluminum shell. The design offers unparalleled tracking and a greatly enhanced feel. It's as close as you can get to the real thing!

The Cast Precision Pads read pressure (detects downward pressure on the head for muting and pitch bending) and position (detects where and how hard you strike the head when playing multi-sampled sounds).
