Briefly, the 5A designation refers to the drumstick model size and the CT designation refers to the classic tip size. The 5A is so popular because it's an "all-around" drumstick that is well suited for nearly every musical style.

Carbostick pays homage to the longevity of the classic 5A drumstick by offering the 5A CT drumstick in SIX (6)-different ways! Within each tip size we have three different weights to suit the needs of the most discriminating drummers and percussionists.

The Carbostick 5A CT Model drumstick is offered in a 5A CT Light weighted stick that mirrors the feel of maple wood. The 5A CT Medium weighted stick mirrors the feel of a hickory wood stick. The 5A CT Premium weighted stick mirrors the heavier/more dense feel of Oak wood. In addition to the three different tip sizes and three different weights within the 5A CT spectrum, Carbostick offers each of these three 5A CT variations in the Copper Ink-Rear/Light Balance Point Conformation or the Silver Ink-Front/Heavy Balance Point Conformation. Never before have there been so many choices within one drum stick size and this level of manufacturing control is only available with our patented processes and utilization of carbon fiber.
