Roaring with Crate's famed FlexWave tube-simulating sound, the GLX's specs read like a working musician's wish list: a built-in chromatic tuner, an angled control panel with red lighted accents for on-stage visibility, and touring-grade durability. In fact, Crate's "Live Effects" series reflects years of performance product testing, redesign, and close collaboration with you, the musician. Specifically designed for live performances, the GLX builds upon years of solid-state experience and pulls the complication out of on-stage gear.
GLX1200H
This rugged amp head combines outstanding features with serious clean and distorted sounds. An easy to operate DSP section lets you dial in a variety of digital effects including reverbs, delays, octave and wah-wahs - with a separate level control. Crate's unique Channel Tracking feature means that as you switch between channels and gains, the DSP automatically "tracks" the changes - your DSP settings for each channel are stored and automatically recalled! The supplied 3-button footswitch allows you to select between the three channels and turn the DSP on and off by "remote control." The electronic tuner lets you get tuned and stay in tune any time the amplifier is on. This amp also features an intuitive lighted angle control panel. This amp is for semi-pro to pro players who rehearse and perform regularly, in a small to mid-sized venues. Long live the stack!

The G412SL is a compact sized cabinet loaded with four 12 in. Crate drivers. It features 100 watts RMS handling, heavy-duty construction, metal grill, slant front, and dual 1/4 in. input jacks.

For metal,hard rock,classic rock, or basically anything with distortion, this is a great amp, so if thats what you're looking for then this amp is for you. If you want a clean sound you'd be better off going with something such as the Fender twin reverb amp...

Really cool honestly, tuner works great and the lights are of course drop dead sexy. My only complaint here is that I wish it's DSP was fully programmable similar to the lesser GTX models, level and effects are controlled with just two knobs.
Quality:
Its my first half-stack but I don't see this thing breaking for a very long time.
Value:
Its worth the money.
Sound:
This is where I feel it gets its lowest mark, I expected to get a very customizable sound, but the distortion doesn't bite as much I as I wished it did. I prefer to use my stomp box distortion with it.
Ease of Use:

If the distortion was a little more shapeable and the DSP was more customizable it would be perfect.
