Roaring with Crate's famed FlexWave tube-simulating sound, the GLX's specs read like a working musician's wish list: a built-in chromatic tuner, an angled control panel with red lighted accents for on-stage visibility, and touring-grade durability. In fact, Crate's "Live Effects" series reflects years of performance product testing, redesign, and close collaboration with you, the musician. Specifically designed for live performances, the GLX builds upon years of solid-state experience and pulls the complication out of on-stage gear.

GLX1200H
This rugged amp head combines outstanding features with serious clean and distorted sounds. An easy to operate DSP section lets you dial in a variety of digital effects including reverbs, delays, octave and wah-wahs - with a separate level control. Crate's unique Channel Tracking feature means that as you switch between channels and gains, the DSP automatically "tracks" the changes - your DSP settings for each channel are stored and automatically recalled! The supplied 3-button footswitch allows you to select between the three channels and turn the DSP on and off by "remote control." The electronic tuner lets you get tuned and stay in tune any time the amplifier is on. This amp also features an intuitive lighted angle control panel. This amp is for semi-pro to pro players who rehearse and perform regularly, in a small to mid-sized venues. Long live the stack!

GLX412SL
The G412SL is a compact sized cabinet loaded with four 12 in. Crate drivers. It features 100 watts RMS handling, heavy-duty construction, metal grill, slant front, and dual 1/4 in. input jacks.

"Great amp for a great price. When it comes to distortion, you cant go wrong"

Sound: depending on what type of sound you want, you may or may not like this amp...the other guittarist in my metal band uses this amp. For metal,hard rock,classic rock, or basically anything with distortion, this is a great amp, so if thats what you're looking for then this amp is for you. If you want a clean sound you'd be better off going with something such as the Fender twin reverb amp... Feature: the effects on this amp come in extremely handy. it saves the several hundred dollors on effects pedals. Ease of Use: everything on this amp is extremely simple. a monkey could use this amp, thats how simple it is. Quality: this is a great amp for a great price. Value: i'm going to give this a 10. between the different distortion sounds you can get out of it, the built in effects, and the lights, this is a great amp The Wow Factor: right now i'm looking into buying this exact amp. i may go for the full stack though for just a bit more power, but i definately would not mind having this amp. Overall:

Style of Music: Heavy Metal (lamb of god, devil driver, cradle of filth etc.)

Crate GLX1200h Half Stack Customer Review

Sound: The sound this amp produces is absolutely unreal. The clean channel sounds great once you get the tone you want dialed in, but that only takes a minute or two if you know what you are doing. The rythym channel also sounds really good, my only complaint is the lack of bite in the distortion. The solo channel is great on this amp. You can choose how much you want to scoop the distortion in the lead and it sounds great when you get it set up. The effects are also very good, a lot of solid state amps sound very digital in their effects, this one sounds as close to a tube amp as Ive heard a solid state sound. THIS AMP IS LOUD!!! I play this beast in my house to practice and the volume is set to one or it is too loud, and honestly, one is almost too loud for my practice room. Feature: The lights on the face are SEXY as hell. I like the heavy duty handle, it makes me feel safer carrying my head from place to place. The effects are awesome, yet again. There are 16 different effects and a level adjustment. I would have liked a little more customization, but hey, it still sounds good. Ease of Use: Absolutely a piece of cake. For this to be a stage worthy setup, it is very easy to deal with. Quality: This amp is solid, and the cab is sturdy. I jumped up on top of my setup at my last show and the thing never once budged. Value: Absolutely worth every penny!!!
