Their least expensive amp, the GX15 was named as the Amplifier of the Year by MMR magazine in 1995! The patented "FlexWave"circuitry replicates the tone, response and feel of a hard-driven tube amp, using more efficient solid-state components. They have been evolving this circuit since 1980 and now include the "Evolution Five" FlexWave preamp design in every GX and GFX amp Crate makes. In 1993, they won the Amp of the Year award for the groundbreaking GT80DSP that was the first and only amp on the market to include Digital Signal Processing with an analog and tube driven preamp circuit design.
