New for 2004, Crate is introducing the BT Series bass amps featuring new functions and cosmetics. All models feature rugged Ozite covering, heavy-duty steel grilles and road rugged handles. Combos over 25 watts also feature a built-in chromatic tuner, 2-channel operation for clean and distortion tones, a variable sub-octave feature and RCA CD Inputs. The flagship of the line is the new BT220, a 220-watt single 15 in. combo which features input pad and mute buttons distortion and clean channels with 4-band EQ, CD Inputs and a headphone jack. Rear panel features include: effects loop with send and return, extension speaker jack, XLR balanced line out with level control, ground lift button and pre/post EQ selection for the line out.

"It's a shame that this don't work right. I know i'm not the only one to have this experience with this amp."

Sound: The amp sounds good when it's working properly but it don't work for more than a few months. I'm on my second one in less than a year. Quality: The amp goes out for no reason at all. it's got to be a manufacture defect. Value: Good price, bad equipment. Manufacturer Support: They shiped me one in good time but the second one was defected also. now i have to see if they will send me another one or a refund.

"Nice amp at a nice price"

Sound: Sounds great. Gets loud without distortion. Feature: The tuner on mine doesn't work very well. Still rely on my old battery-powered tuner. Also, the octave and distortion features don't sound terribly natural. I don't use. Ease of Use: Plug and play! Quality: No problems with quality workmanship or materials. Value: Great amp at a great price. Manufacturer Support: Never needed (knock on wood!) The Wow Factor: A tweeter would be nice. Overall: Fills a room with quality sound. No distortion. Easy to use. Buttons are nice. Some features that I don't think anyone would use, but I could be wrong. All-in-all, a great amp.
