Glue your mix together with this sweet-sounding stereo compressor! The sidechain input with selectable bass filters make the 7720 a versatile studio beast.

The Chameleon Labs 7720 compressor has a sonic imprint that is sweet, clean and highly musical as well as shining when pushed hard. It does both transparency and glue with panache: making a mix louder and punchier while imparting an expensive, modern-sounding cohesiveness. With low ratios it treads gently but when pushed, it can introduce harder compression and a hint of distortion (we call it color) providing a harder character.

The unit features a unique Sidechain feature providing you with the ability to trigger the compressor with an outboard audio signal and giving you extra creative flexibility. You can use the High Pass Filter to shape the compressor's detection circuit, not the actual audio in order to minimize lower frequency audio signals' effect on the compression character of the unit. Six different high pass frequencies provide a wide variety of choices.

- On Switch: Turn Pre Amp On - (Blue LED)
- Comp Switch: Engage (Red LED) or Disengage compression circuit
- High Pass Filter Switch: Provides a 12dB per octave high pass filter at 60Hz, 90Hz, 130Hz, 200Hz or 440Hz implemented on the compressor's control signal
- Meter Selection Switch: VU metering between Left/Right In, Left/Right Out and Compression
- Sidechain Switch: Selects external input source as compression trigger (Blue LED)
- Threshold Level: Select between -20dB and +20dB to set audio level at which point compression starts working
- Attack Level: Establish attack or reaction time for compression to engage to a signal that exceeds threshold level. Select between .1ms, .3ms, 1ms, 3ms and 30ms
- Ratio Level: Adjust ratio of dynamic content between original signal versus compressed -- signal in ratios of 1.5:1, 2:1, 4:1 and 10:1.
- Output Level: Provides up to 20dB of gain for the output level signal
