I recently bought a Laney VC30 all tube class-A combo amp. I replaced the HH Invader speaker with a Vintage 30, and boy! What a difference. The Invader sounded okay, but coudn't come close to the creamy warm, "woody" tone of the Celestion. I play a telecaster with Van Zandt pickups, and combined with the midrange warmth of the Vintage 30 (and the right tubes of course), the tone is fantastic. That's why I'm getting 2 more Vintage 30s for an extension cabinet.
