Sound: The sound quality is as good as the source, and the person mixing or mastering. Feature: There are many features from this DAW. There are plugins to get you started just about anywhere: Drums, Synths, Guitars, Orchestras, etc. They're not the best sounding plugins, but they're a great start. Guitar Rig 4 LE is a nice addition, as well as Z3TA+, True Pianos and Session Drummer 3. Ease of Use: The features are great, but it can get overwhelming when you first start out. Luckily, there are video tutorials available on YouTube, as well as purchasable ones from the Cakewalk Website. There is definitely a slight learning curve. Quality: The product is made well, but as with any program there will be a hiccup every now and again. I advise to save often. The interface is aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate. Value: All in all, overall a great DAW, packed with many features that can produce professional results. Manufacturer Support: I've had to re-download a few things and they were sufficient at getting me what I needed. The Wow Factor: I wanted a great product that competed with other DAWs such as Cubase and Pro tools. After reading reviews on the functionality I came to the conclusion to get Sonar X1 Producer and couldn't have been happier. Overall: Cakewalk offers digital downloads or even DVD copies if you absolutely need it.
