Feature:
It doesn't have a huge amount of things that you can do. You can't sample with it... you can create new presets but they are going to be based off of the original ones.
Quality:
Runs fine on my mac.
Value:
It's getting into the moderate expense range as far as software synths go but the value factor is still okay.
Desirability:
Above average.
Sound:
So many of the presets are just soo soo good. They are rich and sweet and so satisfyingly evolving. It's hard to describe the sound exactly that's typical of it. I was just smiling the whole time I was auditioning the presets. Everything was just so clean sounding. It reminded me of being immersed in a professionally done soundtrack for a high budget movie. It is really that good. There are not many instruments that I think are good enough to use if I were to score a major motion picture but this would definitley be one of them. Wow.
Ease of Use:
Really pretty easy. I was surprised.
Support:
They provide 2 expansion banks for registered users that add something like 600 more presets. Each bank is like 140 mb or so and for that little of space the presets are still as good as the default bank! Very impressive!
Overall:
It has staying power, the sounds are powerful, the expansion banks are just awesome, the internal sound processing is really good the 8 gigabyte soundbank covers just about every field imaginable. It's a really noteworthy product. The best softsynth I own.

Feature:
It has some free expansion packs that sound great, once again only at 44.1K.
Quality:
The fact that it is advertised as a synth that will work at 96K and it doesn't, pretty much sums up my 1 here.
Value:
Once again if this thing worked outside of 44.1K I'd give it a 7.
Desirability:
I really want them to fix this because it does sound great at 44.1K!
Sound:
I bought Dim Pro and was very impressed with the sounds. Then I upgraded my system to 24 bit 96K. Now many of the sounds cause wild volume changes that can physically damage your speakers. Many others have experienced this same problem when running at anything besides 44.1K. Check Cakewalk's forum. If this actualy worked at 96K, I'd give it an 8.
Ease of Use:
Interface is as complex as you want it to be. You can just pick sounds from the library, or tweak to your heart's content. The tweaking part is a little non-intuitive and I had to hunt around for some things that should have been more obvious in my opinion.
Support:
Cakewalk has known and acknowledged that this is a real issue for well over a year and a half and has done nothing to fix it.
Overall:
If Cakewalk doesn't release a fix, I will have to find other software that works and I will be out the $200+.
