Bugera brings heaps of tube-infused vintage bass tone to the table with the BVV3000I Infinium bass amplifier head. You get 300 watts of power flowing through three 12AX7, two 12AU7, and six 6550 tubes for an unbelievably colorful sound -- with Bugera's Infinium Valve Life Multiplier technology ensuring greater tube longevity for years of rocking. Two instrument input jacks determine how hard your signal hits this amp head, and a five-position voicing switch gives you more control over your mid-EQ dial. Plug into this bad boy and see what your bass is capable of!

Getting More out of Tube-Infused Tone

Having an amp with so many tubes can get cumbersome when it comes to maintenance, but Bugera has got your back every step of the way with the BVV3000 bass head. With revolutionary Infinium Valve Life Multiplier technology, the lifespan of each tube is expanded up to 20 times. This system also monitors each tube to help maintain a consistent power flow so your output maintains a warm texture through every note and chord. You can play knowing that each tube is getting an evenly distributed load for a sound your ears will come to simply love.

Life-Monitoring LED Readout

Your Bugera BVV3000I Infinium bass amp head will let you know when your tubes need to be replaced via the LED readout on the back. Another great feature of the Infinium Valve Life Multiplier system: you can mix and match whichever tubes you want to when they need to be replaced. You can use each tube burnout as read more an opportunity to create your own sonic signature by experimenting with different tube combinations.

Controls and Voicing Switch

To get the exact type of output you're looking for, the Bugera BVV3000I's front panel features gain, bass, middle, treble, and master controls. The crowning jewel on this panel is the five-position voicing switch, which changes the frequency of your Mid EQ knob. You have 220 Hz, 450 Hz, 800 Hz, 1.6 kHz and 3 kHz to choose from. The Mid dial provides you with +/-15 dB of movement -- that's a lot of tonal leg room to find just how much midrange you want to boost or cut from your signal.

Bringing in the High and Low End

Bugera has made sure that you don't neglect your high and low frequencies, and that's where the ultra high end and ultra low end switches come in. The ultra low end switch gets you a +2 dB boost at 40 Hz, and the ultra high end switch pushes +9 dB at 8 kHz. Take advantage of these two settings for when you want a little extra boom or brightness.

Great Cab Compatibility

There are three speaker outs on the back of this amp head -- two 1/4" jacks and a professional speaker connector that is Neutrik Speakon compatible. You have 2 ohm and 4 ohm output impedance settings, so this head works well with a wide range of different speaker cabinets. There is also a balanced XLR DI out if you want to plug right into the mixer at shows or recording sessions.

Bugera BVV3000I Infinium Bass Amp Head

Leave it to Bugera to bring the classic all-valve bass amp up to date. Lovingly handmade and sporting vintage styling, the BVV3000 Infinium merges in-your-face bass with state-of-the-art features, such as a 5-position Voicing selector and the Infinium Valve Life Multiplier technology, which will keep your BVV3000 sounding great for many years to come.

With 300-watts of chest-pounding output, the BVV3000 melds old-school aggressive attitude with a touch of nostalgia, creating tones that are only possible from an all-valve amplifier.

All-Valve Design

There are lots of amplifiers on the market today that claim to be valve amps just because they've got a 12AX7 inside. But it takes a whole lot more than just a preamp tube to qualify an amp as being "all-valve." The BVV3000 is a true all-valve bass amp with three 12AX7 and two 12AU7 valves. Two trios of 6550 (also known as KT88) output tubes operate in classic "push-pull" mode to create 300 watts of room-shaking thunder.

Each Bugera valve goes through a rigorous 48-hour burn-in process before being individually evaluated by a skilled Quality Control Inspector (a real live human being). Only about one in every ten valves actually gets the go-ahead for use in their amps. The rest get tossed onto the slag-heap, where they are melted down to make shot glasses.

Taming the Beast

The BVV3000 is so much more than just raw power. The all-tube preamp provides tremendous tone-shaping control. Sure, you get the standard boost/cut capability from the Bass (centered at 40Hz) and Treble (4kHz) knobs, but the real "voice" of your bass is defined by its midrange content.

BVV3000's 5-position Frequency selector lets you choose the center frequency that best suits your playing style, or the one that brings out your instrument's true personality. Just select from 220 Hz, 450 Hz, 800 Hz, 1.6 kHz and 3.0 kHz and turn the Midrange knob to boost or cut by as much as 15dB -- and that's a lot! And if you want even more tone-sculpting options, engage the Ultra-Low switch for an additional +2 dB boost @ 40 Hz, or the Ultra-High switch for a soaring top-end boost of +9 dB @ 8 kHz.

As a loyal SWR man for the past 20 years I finally decided to try out an all tube set up. I am blown away at the crystal clarity of the lows and highs of the Bugera 300 watt amp paired with a 4x10 1000 watt @4ohms Fender Rumble Cab. I use my '57 fender reissue exclusively through this set up and I can achieve every tone that I want with this bass - most importantly that cool distorted pre-amp grind that I was never able to get with my SWR Rig. The amp was a scratch and dent model so got both items delivered to my house for under $700. Great service, great products I will buy from zZounds again!
