Body Shape

The Concert with soft cutaway is our most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.

Top

First, a note on ZZounds. This will obviously not be the case for everyone, but I received the guitar 1 day after ordering with free shipping. About the guitar... I have never seen or played a Breedlove before, but I'm sold. I spent a year or two eyeing various 12-strings to replace one I had given away many years ago. I finally got around to pulling the trigger and I've had it for over a week. Played for a few hours. I'm used to getting cheaper Korean guitars, where upon receipt I won't even attempt to play it and instead will remove the strings and douse the neck in lemon oil and scrub out any gunk or fretboard die. Then use some steel wool on the frets, etc. Eventually put new strings on it, play with the action, then finally get to playing it. But with this Breedlove... it was already in playing shape. Supposedly the QA is done in Oregon, and it's set up before shipping to a distributor. That definitely appeared to be the case! It has great stock strings (Supposedly D'Addario), no need for messing with the tress rod. Not a buzz from any fret. Very comfortable, clean, and no tiny visual defects that I can see. The gig bag is great, it has some rigitiy and opens wide enough so you aren't fighting to get it in the bag without scraping it against the zipper. The built-in tuner is easy to see (it's backlit) and is incredibly helpful especially with the quantity of strings. It sounds great and feels great to play. I have not plugged it in to any amplifier. It's a great price read more for a quality guitar. Not one regret.
