Take a look at the Breedlove USA Oregon Concert:

Body

The Concert is our most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.

Top Wood

Sitka spruce is grown in the Pacific Northwest, and has been the primary top wood for U.S.A. instruments for many decades. It is strong and light with extended harmonic content, and nearly equals the power of Adirondack.

Back and Side Wood

Myrtlewood offers a strong fundamental with a powerful voice. A favorite for many styles of playing, it is clear and bright with superb projection and sustain, and offers a full and balanced sound.

Neck

Breedlove craftsmen often say, "No neck feels better than a Breedlove neck." They may be a bit biased, but industry insiders agree. Here's our big secret: hands-on sculpting. After basic machining, each Breedlove neck goes through read more a comprehensive, build and finish process, starting with the hand shaping of each and every neck. Next, the perfectly sculpted neck heads into the finish process where it receives a wash coat and sealer. Then, over a three-day period, multiple finish coats are applied, and the neck is level sanded. In the final stage, we perfect the finish by hand-buffing it and rubbing it down to achieve exactly the right thickness for perfect action and playability.

First off, I live in a small enough town, so small that there is no music store around. So, I have bought all 4 of my guitars from zZounds online. And actually, I've bought 5 but returned one of them, which was an easy-peazy process with zZounds. That said, I thoroughly research each instrument, read tons of reviews, watch a couple dozen YouTube video reviews, and talk to other musicians before I purchase a guitar. This is my first Breedlove purchase and I'm quite sure that it won't be my last. This guitar is AWESOME. I don't know how else to say it, just simply awesome. The Oregon series guitars are just what everyone said they were, great guitars. I got the Whiskey Burst version and it looks incredible. The glossy Solid Sitka Spruce top with the burnt edge really sets this instrument off and could double as a piece of artwork in your living room, cave, or studio. That would be a waste though, this guitar wants to be played. It sounds louder than I expected from a concert series model and has more bass than I expected as well. The tones ring out through the sound hole crisply and sustain quite well. It has an 1 3/4" nut width which makes it easier to play for somebody (like me) that has plumper fingers. And it is easy to play, very easy to play. The top is solid Sitka Spruce, and solid Myrtle wood back and sides. The Myrtle is satin finish and it looks good and should season well over the years. The back of the neck is beautifully done in a satin hard maple and feels perfect read more to my hand as I play. I've played it plugged in and it sounds pretty dang good then too. The only downside I would say about this guitar is that when you get down to finger picking frets 15-20 the sound seems to diminish some. But it is an acoustic guitar and most of the time I live above 12 so it isn't really a big deal, just an observation. One more thing I should add is that the Oregon Concert Acoustic won the 23rd Annual MMR Dealers Choice Award for Acoustic Guitar of the Year in 2015. So, I'm not alone when I think that this guitar is fantastic.

Musical Style:
Country, classic rock.
