About This Product!
Description
The AC25/SR PLUS is a complete package with an attractive aesthetic of broad appeal. It is a bold acoustic electric concert ready to be plugged in and played out. Of the Breedlove Atlas Series Concert Guitars this is to be the finest in quality and workmanship, with tasteful aesthetic enhancements.

Each Atlas Series Instrument has been designed and engineered by Kim Breedlove. Atlas guitars feature many of the design principles from Breedlove's custom shop including Breedlove scalloped bracing, pinless bridge and JLD Bridge Truss System. The body shapes are similar to the custom shop offerings for deep body styles with non cutaways and soft cutaways. The bridge, fingerboard and peghead overlay on each model are made from Indian Rosewood. The playability has been changed to a slightly narrower nut width 1-11/16 in., but each has the same low string height for fast comfortable playing. D'Addario EXP11 light gauge coated strings are comfortable, last a long time and have a full sound. Fishman Classic IV Pickups are on all cutaway models. These are easy to use, reliable and sound great. Each Atlas Series instrument has passed the strict quality assurance process in Bend, Oregon, USA. Breedlove has reached these amazing prices by creating a high quality system to produce these exact models and specifications.

The Breedlove Difference
The Breedlove tone is an outcome of the way they brace their tops. All of their guitars have tops voiced both before and after the braces are applied. They utilize a modern bridge truss device (patented by J.L.D. Guitar Research) that counterbalances the string tension on the top of the guitar. Does this mean Breedlove guitars lose the ability to vibrate well? Just the opposite. In the past, building a guitar top has required trade-offs between sturdiness for longevity, and lightness for resonance. Due to the increased structural integrity of the bridge truss, Breedlove is able to brace their tops for optimal vibration and sound quality. This creates what they call a relaxed top. You will also notice the back of their guitars vibrate more than other guitars. The result is a responsive guitar with rich bass, balanced mids, sweet highs, and a remarkable balance of sound when playing notes up the fingerboard.

A guitar where the strings pass over the nut and then angles sharply towards the tuner posts has added dampening, which causes loss in sustain. So Breedlove designed their peghead so the strings between the tuners and the nut are parallel to the rest of the string. Then they have the Breedlove Pinless Bridge. Why drill 6 holes through a part of the guitar that needs stability?

The ancient ones believed that the spirit lived in all things. Play a Breedlove guitar. Let the spirit move you.

Breedlove AC25SR Plus Atlas Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar Reviews

"No Hype Here... Just a Great Guitar"
Feature:
The only thing I'd have changed about this guitar is to have L.R. Baggs electronics instead of the Fishman Classic IV. But that's just my personal preference. Everything else about this guitar is top-notch in every way. Wow!

Quality:
Built like a tank. I see no quality issues whatsoever.

Value:
I've played a lot of guitars in my 30+ years as a musician. I can't think of a single 'new' acoustic that is a better value than the AC25SR Plus. Not even a Taylor, of which I own four.

Desirability:
I wanted it so bad that I bought it... 'nuf said.

Sound:
Incredibly sweet, harmonic and musical. Even a crappy player can't make an AC25SR Plus sound bad! I have to wonder about the motives of the guy who said the Breedlove sounds "dead" and lacking on the high end in comparison to his Taylor guitars. I have four Taylors and the Breedlove AC25SR Plus sounds better than 3 of them... MUCH better. Makes me wonder if he's ever really owned this guitar.

Support:
Before I bought mine, I called Breedlove in Oregon with a few questions. The woman I talked to was not only knowledgeable and helpful, she was also a player! Nice. :)

Overall:
If you don't like this guitar, you're either a bull-headed Taylor or Martin fanatic or a drummer in a Metal band.

"O my God....."
Feature:
pickup system is not onpar with taylor's expression system but you already knew that. Unless you play like Michael Hedges or Leo Kottke, this will faithfully serve you for 95% of any live situation. Mic it for recording.

Quality:
First rate. period. James Olson gets a 10, but this guitar really gets a 9 in my book.

Value:
Try to beat it. I Dare you.

Desirability:
Beautiful.

Sound:
I own a Taylor 310ce and I owned a Taylor 814ce for 5 years. Sold it and missed it so I looked into this guitar. This is 99% playability and sound of the 814minus $1800. Unbelieveable. Maybe I just got a good one, but you would think this was a handcrafted acoustic.

Ease of Use:
Amazing playability. You can tell Kim Breedlove watched and learned from his time at Taylor. Martin and Gibson could learn SO MUCH from Taylor.

Support:
Awesome

Overall:
I have become a hugeevangelist of this guitar.
