For 14 years, the famous BOSS FV-300 served as an industry-standard volume pedal. The tradition continued with the FV-50 series, but now the bar has been raised with BOSS's new FV-500L pedal. This tank-tough diecast pedal is designed to meet the needs of the most demanding performers.
It offers a new stylish design, a road-tough build, a tuner output, and a comfortable, smooth action. It also provides an Expression output for use with expression-compatible amps, effects, and even synthesizers. The pedal's feel (torque) can be easily adjusted to suit each player's pedaling preference.

"This is definitely a good buy"
Feature:
This is where this pedal gets awesome. Using it aligned as a mooger fooger expression pedal is much fun and then back to its original duty as a volume pedal.. Adjusting the amount of volume you want to control is awesome and much needed as well as the tuner output.
Quality:
Its Boss! I have a bunch of boss stuff and its all incredible reliable. This is probably tougher than the pedals but I am not worried about it longevity at all. Probably outlive me.
Value:
You get what you pay for. Its not the cheapest pedal in the world but its what you expect to pay for quality equipment.
Desirability:
It is very sexy as far as volume pedals go... I really love it
Sound:
This is a great volume pedal but it does seem to lose a little treble when turning down. Still love it....

I do not expect to buy a volume pedal ever again. If a) it doesn't break or b) doesn't get lost or stolen. There is no reason for me to upgrade as this suits my style completely: This is not JUNK. It has a great action and smooth feel.
