Decades after the Bogner Ecstasy amplifier was first built in the early '90s, Bogner has continued to craft hand-built amps, one at a time, with careful attention paid to the end user: you, the musician. This Bogner Ecstasy Red pedal delivers the same attention to detail. Your signal is forged via five discreet class A gain stages for a breakup that accurately references the sound of the Ecstasy amplifier's red channel.

Lots of Settings and Structures to Play With

The variac switch will bring in a "dropped voltage" dynamic compression that's characteristic of lower-powered amplifiers. The Tight setting will roll off the bass, the Mellow setting drops the highs a bit, and the Full setting will boost your highs and lows for a sort of bluesy output. Dialing in Your Sound

The volume and gain controls both have smaller boost dials that light up when they are engaged. You also have bass, middle, and treble controls to shape the darkness, brightness, and midrange punch of your signal. The gain control on this pedal goes a long way. For example, the pre EQ settings are slightly more active when you have your Bogner Ecstasy Red Overdrive pedal set at lower gain levels. The Bogner Ecstasy amplifier was born in 1992 and decades later Bogner is still hand building each amp, one at a time, right here in Los Angeles, California. The Ecstasy Red pedal captures the mystical Red Channel tone of this legendary amplifier, famous for its incendiary higher gain crunch and lead tones. Using interactive controls to adjust gain and EQ settings, the Red pedal delivers a wide range of expressive tones from vintage overdrive to ripping modern high gain. Ideal for aggressive playing styles, the Red pedal boasts the outrageous heavy tones that get Bogner amps into the backlines of rock's most notable players.

Reinhold designed the Ecstasy Red pedal with five discrete Class A gain stages and with no op-amps or diode clipping, mirroring the circuitry of the Ecstasy amplifier's red channel. This revolutionary approach provides clarity, touch sensitivity and note separation never before achieved in overdrive pedals.

The Ecstasy Red is powered by a standard 9V battery or 9VDC power supply. Reinhold's advanced circuitry internally elevates the voltage a substantially higher level. This higher voltage provides a greater dynamic range which closely resembles the feel of the Ecstasy amplifier's legendary tube design.

You want a no nonsense pedal to use for drive and distortion? Let this pedal take you there. First it has two channels that offer levels (independent) The tones you can get are amazing. If you have a good amp this will only serve to enhance your tone. it has features galore and is very easy to use, if you have used a few pedals and amplifiers all the names are the same. I love the fact that you can set the pedal to boost with different gain and volume levels! This is a really thought our pedal and it compares to the ISP Theta for quality (read that review too) I like them both for different reasons. I carry booth to gigs to ensure I have redundancy. This is a little easier to use because you can just drop a 9V in it and go. I will tell you this as well, I prefer to place this in the front end of most amps and use the clean channel of the amplifier. CJWII
