Just a great mic for vocals. Ran it through a Fredenstein V.A.S. preamp as well as a WA73eq and dbx 286s and it sounds especially sweet on the Fred. Nice air, sparkle and the lows are tight. I have the Spark and Baby Bottle too. I like them all for vocals. They have different flavors. This Bluebird is more open and clear than the Spark but both are nice. I think the baby bottle would be good on higher register voices and for people that prefer a darker more vintage vibe. Ok, QC could be better on this one. The bottom of the mic was loose and there was a hint of glue at the base as well. The QC card was missing and the adaptor was missing too!! Haven't had issues in the past with Blue so I don't know?? Love the mic though.
