Oh. I did manage to broke one of the channel switching/stepping switch. After it was ran over by a electric powered wheelchair, that weights at almost 400 lbs. all by itself; and another 150 lbs or so of the weight of the person sitting on the wheelchair.
That padal pops right back in, and stays in place, and has been working perfectly with a little piece of electrical tape to add additional support at the hind's side.
By the way. The padel is almost 4 years old.
Sound:
This thing sounds amazing. I'm not going to repeat what everybody else have said.
Yes, It has plastic padal, switches, etc. But modern plastics are very durable. Some even out-do metal's counter-parts.
For example -- In the FIREARMS industries. Two of the most sorted after firearms are the Glock pistols, and the Styr Aug assault rifle. Both have very light weight receiver/frame. In the case of the Glock pistols. The typical weight of the receiver is about 1.5 oz - Depends models. Instead of about one pound or more. For the typical 9mm service sized models. These are also some of the MOST DURABLE weapons in the history of firearms history. They 're used by more military and law enforcment forces all over the world.
Plastic has comes a long way. Baby!

Feature:
Best features are the small size and the expression pedal to control effects parameters. Worst feature is the need to press multiple buttons to access some controls. There's a mod to add a knob that will do whatever the the pedal is assigned to do. It's cool too in that you can use the knob to set a limit on how low the pedal goes (like making it stop at volume=4 when pulled all the way back). Here is the mod page: www.dominocs.com/AshBassGuitar/xvamp/
Quality:
Fine to me.
Value:
Stupid sweet value for getting all those effects for what you'd pay for any one of them individually.
Desirability:
Looks cool. Small and efficient.
Sound:
I bought this for the effects only. I have three amps hooked up to it and the rest of my gear gets me what I want as far as amp sounds go. So for $75 I got four choruses, four tremolos, four phasers, four flangers, rotary speaker, and delays. These aren't effects I use often, but I like having them when I do want them and I don't want my floor strewn with all the pedals that would be necessary for such a collection. The X V-Amp is small and being able to use the expression pedal to control effect parameters is icing. My rating is for the sound of the effects.
Ease of Use:
There's more learning curve at the beginning than I expected for such a small unit. Once the routine is down though I can get around quickly enough. The multi-button thing is a bit of a drag but again, easy enough to get around with once you understand the basic patterns.

Overall:
The effects have me. My rating is for those and the foot pedal access.
