The Multicom Pro-XL MDX4600 gives you 4 channels of first-class dynamic control in a single rack space. With a multitude of new features like the advanced program-adaptive expander gate, extensive metering plus a variety of configuration options, the Multicom Pro-XL puts a lot of dynamic processing power in your rack.

Switchable IKA (Interactive Knee Adaptation) program-adaptive compression circuitry combines the advantages of hard-knee and soft-knee characteristics
IRC (Interactive Ratio Control) expander/gate circuitry for virtually inaudible noise suppression
Switchable dynamic enhancer for brilliant, lively audio even with heavy compression
IGC (Interactive Gain Control) peak limiting circuitry combines clipper and program limiter for reliable and inaudible protection against signal peaks
Switchable low contour filter prevents "pumping" due to low-frequency dominated compression
Stereo couple function selectable for channels 1/2 and 3/4
Ultra low-noise 4580 operational amplifiers and state-of-the-art THAT VCA's
Separate 8-segment LED meters for input/output levels and gain reduction
Selectable operating level (+4 dBu/-10 dBV)
High-quality detented ALPS potentiometers and illuminated switches
Servo-balanced inputs and outputs with 1/4 in. TRS and gold-plated XLR connectors

The Multicom Pro-XL's 4 channels feature an expander/gate, compressor/limiter, enhancer, and peak limiter. The switchable interactive mode adjusts knee to the incoming signal for natural sound. XLR and TRS I/O.

Great combindation of features for the price
Quality:
Bought two units. One had it's CH#3 gate begin sticking a month into use. The second unit developed a problem 2 months later; audio barely audible and distorted. Never had a problem with other Behringer products...very happy with their line. But this model has only been out for a year, I suspect design or mfg quality problems
Value:
This model only....otherwise Behringer products have been a very good value for me
Sound:
When it works, it sounds as good as any other compressor or gate I've used
Support:
Forget it.....big company selling products dirt cheap, you'll spend more time and money trying to get it serviced than it's worth. Don't respond to emails...you're pretty much on your own.
Overall:
Need to find a replacement now

I purchased 2 of these units and both are giving me problems, one has a very bad distortion in all channels and thee other keeps shorting out in channel 2 and 3 giving a extrembly bad distortion sound then chops up the sound. veery disappointed. I quess it true you get what you pay for....
