Got a lot of passive speakers to push? This workhorse power amp offers massive bang for buck, with 2 x 1000 watts into 4 ohms or 2 x 600 watts into 8 ohms.

The Behringer EPQ2000 power amplifier brings you two channels of crystal-clear audio amplification with up 1,000 watts of power per channel. It boasts XLR, 1/4-inch TRS and RCA connectors to make it useful in virtually any situation imaginable. Built like a tank, the EPQ2000 power amp still weighs less than 16 pounds. For the price, the Behringer EPQ2000 unquestionably gives you a lot of bang for the buck!

2 x 1000 Watts into 4 Ohms; 2 x 600 Watts into 8 Ohms

When you're running the EPQ2000 into 4 Ohm speaker systems, you've got the full 1,000 watts of power on each channel. If you're running into 8 Ohm cabinets or arrays, you'll get 600 watts per channel.

Connections for Any Application

On the back panel of the EPQ2000, you'll find balanced XLR inputs, unbalanced RCA inputs, and 1/4" inputs that accept balanced TRS or unbalanced TS plugs. Here you'll also find switches allowing you to put these amps to work in mono, stereo, or mono bridge mode. The built-in Crossover switch allows you to output low frequencies to subwoofers in a full-range setup. A thoughtful Limiter switch allows you to activate the built-in overload protection when you want it, or turn it off when it isn't necessary for the gig.

Super Simple Interface

You'll find the front panel on the EPQ2000 straightforward and easy to read, even in low-light onstage situations. A Power LED lets you know when you're ready to rock, while the Clip LEDs immediately tell you if the Gain stage is too hot. Both read more channels have their own easy-to-access Gain dials to get the levels in the right place, and independent Signal LEDs help you monitor signal strength on the fly.

Powerful ATR Technology Onboard

The Behringer EPQ2000 utilizes proprietary Accelerated Transient Response technology that ensures perfect power delivery in situations where a lot of low-end air needs to get pushed. These amps use transistors with super-high slew rates to deliver a reaction time that keeps up with demanding sources, like electronic synth bass. If you're running this amp to a decent set of woofers in your full-range audio setup, you'll appreciate a tight and crisp sound in your low frequency output.

Rock-Solid and Super-Cool

The Behringer EPQ2000 runs super cool with a front-to-back ventilation system. It comes in an all-steel chassis built to withstand the rigors of the road and fits into two full-width rack unit spaces.

Features:

- Integrated Accelerated Transient Response technology
- Switchable limiter protection
- Power, Signal and Limit LEDs on front panel
- XLR, 1/4" TRS/TS and RCA input connectors
- Professional speaker connectors and "touch-proof" binding posts
- Integrated Subwoofer/Satellite crossover switch

Accelerated Transient Response Delivers the Knockout Punch

It takes huge pulses of energy (current and voltage) to propel a woofer cone out fast enough to match a bass beat. That's called Transient Response and it's the holy grail of amp designers. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of the circuitry, these amps are able to react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses. If the woofers in your PA system can keep up, your audience will hear a tighter, crisper, more natural sound.

Instead of operating relatively continuously like most power amps, the EPQ power amps feature rail tracking for effectively modulating the power supply rails with only the peaks of the input signal. This technology has revolutionized pro audio amp designs with its outstanding performance and efficiency. When combined with switching-mode power supplies that do away with heavy toroid transformers, these designs provide more dynamic punch and, because they are so much more efficient, run cooler and don't require huge, heavy heat sinks.

Behringer didn't invent this technology, but the R&D Department has been working for years to perfect their own version, creating lightweight amps that run cool and also achieve their goal of Accelerated Transient Response.

Everything You Need

The simple front panel controls of these amps give you all of your sound's vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power Button, the Power LED will light when the amp is ready for action. Both channels have independent gain dials as well as clip LEDs that indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the gain. There are also Signal LEDs that light up when a signal is present at the input.

On the back panels of the EPQ2000 and EPQ1200, the inputs accept balanced XLR, 1/4" TRS, and unbalanced 1/4" TS and RCA connections. Take your pick of professional locking speaker outputs or touch-proof binding posts to securely connect speakers. The same panel contains the switches that allow you to put these amps to work in either mono, stereo (two channel mode) or mono bridge mode. A built-in Crossover switch allow you to send low frequency content to subwoofers and other sound reinforcement speakers (CH1<100 Hz / CH2>100 Hz or Full Range). Flick the Limiter ON/OFF switch to activate the built-in overload protection, or turn it off if you're feeling lucky.

The back panels of the EPQ304, EPQ450 and EPQ900 accept balanced XLR. The EPQ450 and EPQ900 have Mono On/Off and Bridge On/Off switches. The EPQ304 has a Mono On/Off switch for Inputs 1 AND 2, and another Mono On/Off switch for Inputs 3 and 4.

It does what it says and then some, like a good product should for any amout of money. Thank you Behringer

Sound
I use this workhorse as a monitor amp most of the time. 2 channels of nearly 1000 watts each @ 4 ohms (and quite quiet too). It's so nice having that much power in a 11 in deep amp weighing in around 15lbs.

Features
No add-ons, just a decent awg power cord needed to get the juice flowin.

Ease of Use
Limiter, crossover, use it any way you need to. Very simple operation and I like the limiter idea to help (some) protect the speakers. This amp will serve every purpose that you need at a GREAT price for that much clean power. Easy on the back AND the wallet.

Quality
Threw this thing into a simple rack case with out covers and it's plenty protected for the road. Since you're getting a great deal on the cost of the amp, use the extra money you would've spent on something that costs more (and does the same thing) and put it into a rack. Since this thing in only 11" deep you can use a short rack (short depth) too.

Value
Best bang for your buck out there providing you with power and features that you'd have to spend much more money on going with a different name. Behringer products have yet to fail or let me down in any way over the last 8 years.

Manufacturer Support
Game this one a 9 as read more I've never had to contact Behringer on ANY of thier products that I own (mixers and power amps).

The Wow Factor
Since I already own one of these, I'll say this. Find a power amp (Crown/QSC/Peavey/etc etc) and price out a 600 watts into 8 ohms and 1000 watts into 4 ohms with a limiter, a built in cross over, and comparable features power amp with this one and I know you'll give a lot of consideration to buy this power amp.
