The Ultra-DI DI20 is an innovative active 2-channel DI-box/splitter that takes the signal directly from an unbalanced high-impedance output -- like an electric guitar -- and feeds it directly into a mixing console or recorder. It is ideally suited to augment the traveling gear of musicians (especially guitar/bass players) as well as live/studio/broadcast engineers, installation contractors and studios/live event engineers. The DI20 converts 2 separate unbalanced 1/4 in. jack inputs into 2 balanced XLR outputs. There is a 2-channel/link mode for flexible usage as mono, 2-channel or splitter box. In link mode, channel 1 can be split up into 2 balanced XLR connectors plus 1 unbalanced 1/4 in. jack connector. Switchable input attenuation in 3 ranges allows input levels of up to +48 dBu, while a ground lift switch eliminates typical ground loop problems. It operates either by using a 9V battery or by using 48V phantom power. The whole package is enclosed in an ultra compact, road-suitable and extremely rugged housing.

Features:
Converts 2 separate unbalanced 1/4 in. TRS line inputs into 2 balanced XLR outputs

Behringer DI20 Ultra-DI 2-Channel Active DI Box/Splitter Reviews

"Good value, but not as quiet as the DI100."
Feature:
The different configurations make this unit flexible. You can use it as two separate DI channels or you can use a single in routed to two outs. Being able to utilize phantom power rather than battery is a plus.

Quality:
The noise floor is too high for my application.

Value:
Very good price. This would be a perfect unit if the noise level was as good as the DI100.

Desirability:
it's justa practical addition to my setup.

Sound:
Sound quality is basically OK. However, it is much noiser than the DI100. This isn't a problem for guitar-level sounds, but for quieter signals can be a significant problem.

Support:
Behringer responded very promptly to my email requests.

Behringer DI20 Ultra DI Customer Review
Feature:
Supposedly quite handy with the dual independant channesl and link options.

Quality:
Sorry, Behringer, but u call this a rugged sturdy product? It is extremely filmsy, doesn't even have rubber stoppers under it. It'll go flying if u kicked it accidentally. Mine had 2 extra screw holes left empty under it. Plus the battery compartment is retarded.

Value:
Cheap, but doesn't do much either. I returned it after 2 days and got a GI100 instead. That's a much better product.

Desirability:
No use for me.

Sound:
Didn't make much difference to my signal from my efx processor, other than attenuate about 10db and taking away a little mid freqs.

Support:
Never dealt with em, but good site.

Overall:
Took me 5 mins before I decided to move on to another product.
