Manufacturer's Description for Behringer DFX69 Tweakalizer DJ Effects Processor
Don't be fooled by its cutesy looks: the Tweakalizer DFX69 is an extremely powerful desktop DJ effects processor with real-time control. Behind its super-intuitive user interface is the power to simultaneously control 6 functions, an incredible realtime scratch function and a super-fast and accurate auto-BPM counter. For example, you can adjust track speed using the virtually inaudible Pitch Transposer, and you also get a breathtaking LFO-controlled effects section including delay & flanger and awesome filter effects with 3 filter types (low, high and band pass), 3 filter modes (auto, manual, LFO) and separate resonance control.
There is a groove- and BPM-related loop sampler with up to 16 seconds of memory as well as an ultra-steep 3-band kill EQ (-40 dB) with separate cut buttons per band. A switchable phono/line input with built-in high-precision phono preamplifier lets you connect turntables and CD players, and a signal/effect balance and input gain control provide top flexibility.
Ultra high-resolution 24-bit A/D and D/A converters and a high-performance 24/48-bit DSP provide ultimate in sonic resolution. If you're looking for a straightforward way to tweak your sound, we've got an amazing machine for you.

What Our Customers Are Saying About zZounds
"A daily dose of zZounds keeps my budget under control and the ravages of scurvy at bay." - customer on February 1st, 2012
Sound:
The sound quality of the DFX 69 is amply adequate for live performance of any kind. The built in 3 band EQ is a great substitute for a low to mid-end dj mixer EQ, and includes a cut button on each band which is a very nice feature. The resonance on the low, high, and bandpass filters is powerful, and I rarely find myself turning it up past half even when having fun with the filters.
Feature:
The features of this inexpensive device eliminate the need for a fancy, over priced mixer.
Starting from the top down, It has a fully-phonic pitch changer, which is an indispensable feature when mixing music with a pitched rhythm, such as any harder style of edm. There are two '3 digit' displays, on displaying the current pitch adjustment and parameter adjustment, and the other showing selections and master bpm. The bpm is automatically detected (very accurately), however it can manually set as well. The gain control with overload LED is very useful. The knob is very insensitive which allows you to make gain adjustments during a performance. There is a wet/dry knob, which would have been cooler if it was a slider, but still serves it's purpose well none the less.
There is an independent sampler bay, which allows to to record and edit samples. You can reverse the sample, enable/disable master effects, and adjust the speed of the sample. I would've liked to have multiple sample banks, rather than just one.
The tree band eq with cut buttons lays below the sample bay, followed by the filter controls. The high, bandpass, and low filters are probably the most powerful feature of this device. They can be manually controlled by the large jog wheel, automatically controlled by the sound intensity of the music, or controlled by the built in LFO. The resonance is very potent from this device, which is cool for having a little fun with the filters. All the filters can be beat-timed, so they will match the beat even in manual control mode.
Lower still lies the centerpiece of the tweakalizer, the large jog wheel. it can control all the effects including the flanger, the intuitive scratch feature, and the filters. It is surround above by LED's that show the state of the filters, and below by buttons that control the flanger, scratch, filter, and delay. the falnger, delay, and filter have on/off buttons, as well as momentary buttons.
And yesss, the scratch. Ahh the scratch. It allows you, along with the help of the wet dry knob, to scratch any live music source like a professional.
Ease of Use:
This thing is so easy to use. All the functions are familiar and intuitive. I would definitely recommend this as probably the simplest effects processor.
Quality:
Quality, as you know, isn't exactly behringer's forte. The thing isn't exactly a tank, in fact, it feels very cheap and plastic-yy. I heard negative reviews as far as build quality, but I will say happily that after a year of using TWO regularly, I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS. All my lights, jacks, knobs, etc work great. That's more than I can say about my behringer mixer, though.
Value:
Definitely the best piece of DJ gear on the happy side of $100. A must-have for a serious DJ who is seriously poor like myself.
It will ad CDJ like functionality if you DJ vinyl. I use them for two reasons, it alleviates the need for a fancy expensive mixer, and it allows me to pitch-match tracks when mixing.
Manufacturer Support:
I haven't had problems with my units.
The Wow Factor:
Well the thing will give the edge in effects any day, however, I'm not sure it's exactly "stylish". It's certainly not ugly though. Maybe just a bit too... gray?
Overall:
This unit will always be the best-value product to me, however I will inevitably want more features, but even more certain is it breaking.
Style of Music: edm
