The DD400 effects pedal offers subtle to radical stereo delay and echo with a resolution comparable to state-of-the-art studio processors.

The DD400 has 7 different modes and a delay time of up to 1.3 s. It features dedicated Mode, Time, Feedback and Level controls for awesome sound shaping. A cool blue status LED for effect on/off and battery check plus a first-class electronic on/off switch for highest signal integrity in bypass mode are included. The DD400 runs on a 9 V battery or a DC power supply (not included) zZounds is an authorized dealer of Behringer products.

Behringer DD400 Pedal Customer Review

Sound: This is a damned hissy pedal. But it's a $30 delay. I plan on sticking this on my drum machine and rescuing my Ibanez DE-7 (which I love on my guitar) from it, so I'm not too too concerned. That being said, I am convinced that you can make some ridiculous sounds with this (even ridiculous for delay pedals). Feature: Would really be nice if it came with a decent power supply. It doesn't, of course, but that's the big thing with the flashing LED, so far as I can tell - using a crappy power supply doesn't do the job too well with it. Hooked up to my Godlyke Power-All supply, along with seven other pedals, it glows constant and fine. Hooked up to a cheap $4 9v 300mA one, it strobes and hisses even worse. I also wish the damned LED wasn't so friggin' bright! I can't see a thing when I look at it. Ease of Use: The 'manual' is far from useful, and the 'mode' knob is ridiculous. You'd think for a seven-mode pedal it would click into seven different positions, right? Hell no! It just slides from one into the next. Okay, so you'd think then that you're controlling the delay time with that then, right? Nope! That is solely the domain of the 'time' knob. It doesn't seem to be working? Oh, you've got the mode button on 'hold'. How does hold work? Record a quick passage whilst holding down the switch (kinda Boss delay-like). How long can you loop with hold? No idea! Your hold loop is fading out? Huh? That doesn't sound right! Oh, feedback (repetitions) is not on full. That's silly. Oh, and speaking of knobs that don't really accurately describe their function, 'level' in mono (haven't tried stereo) should really be labelled 'blend'. Quality: I am so confused by the decision regarding the mode knob. I am also convinced that I am going to break at least one knob off of this thing in a short time, because delays want you to fiddle with them constantly. They do not want you to set and forget! That being said, they feel much sturdier than the knobs on the Behringer CS100 compressor I bought at the same time. Value: $30 for a delay. C'mon. Behringer is entirely about the value field. Manufacturer Support: Haven't tried yet. The Wow Factor: It's a $30 delay. I totally expected it to be worth $30. It's worth $30. $40 would be pushing it (but I'd probably still pay it). $50 would be crazy. Overall: It'll do. If it breaks, no big loss; I might get another, I might not. It'll probably just be a matter of whether it's convenient or not.

Overall: If you need a delay in a hurry and cannot afford anything else, this one will do. I owned mine for about four or five months before the tap tempo input stopped working then after a year it went out all together. This seems to be the case with all of these Behringer pedals. They are cheap and they work and they sound better than most no name and off brand pedals, just don't count on them to hold up very long. They do add some hiss and the delay sound is a bit harsh but it has all the features of the comparable boss unit at a third of the price. My advice, if you can afford to spend the money on something better, don't buy this. If you have to have a delay pedal today and only have 30$, and are not too concerned with how long it's gonna last, go for it.

Style of Music: Anything with guitar in it.
