Behringer DD400 Stereo Digital Delay Echo Pedal

Feature:
Would really be nice if it came with a decent power supply. It doesn't, of course, but that's the big thing with the flashing LED, so far as I can tell - using a crappy power supply doesn't do the job too well with it. Hooked up to my Godlyke Power-All supply, along with seven other pedals, it glows constant and fine. Hooked up to a cheap $4 9v 300mA one, it strobes and hisses even worse. I also wish the damned LED wasn't so friggin' bright! I can't see a thing when I look at it.

Quality:
I am so confused by the decision regarding the mode knob. I am also convinced that I am going to break at least one knob off of this thing in a short time, because delays want you to fiddle with them constantly. They do not want you to set and forget! That being said, they feel much sturdier than the knobs on the Behringer CS100 compressor I bought at the same time.

Value:
$30 for a delay. C'mon. Behringer is entirely about the value field.

Desirability:
It's a $30 delay. I totally expected it to be worth $30. It's worth $30. $40 would be pushing it (but I'd probably still pay it). $50 would be crazy.

Sound:
This is a damned hissy pedal. But it's a $30 delay. I plan on sticking this on my drum machine and rescuing my Ibanez DE-7 (which I love on my guitar) from it, so I'm not too too concerned. That being said, I am convinced that you can make some ridiculous sounds with this (even ridiculous for delay pedals).

Ease of Use:
The 'manual' is far from useful, and the 'mode' knob is ridiculous. You'd think for a seven-mode pedal it would click into seven different positions, right? Hell no! It just slides from one into the next. Okay, so you'd think then that you're controlling the delay time with that then, right? Nope! That is solely the domain of the 'time' knob. It doesn't seem to be working? Oh, you've got the mode button on 'hold'. How does hold work? Record a quick passage whilst holding down the switch (kinda Boss delay-like). How long can you loop with hold? No idea! Your hold loop is fading out? Huh? That doesn't sound right! Oh, feedback (repetitions) is not on full. That's silly. Oh, and speaking of knobs that don't really accurately describe their function, 'level' in mono (haven't tried stereo) should really be labelled 'blend'.

Support:
Haven't tried yet.

Overall:
It'll do. If it breaks, no big loss; I might get another, I might not. It'll probably just be a matter of whether it's convenient or not.

Feature:
Again I could not get the pedal to work. But if I could it seems the pedal would sound good and do the job.

Quality:
Even though the pedal has a plastic body, it seems to be very durable. However the first pedal did not work at all. The L.E.D would flash rapidly and I could not change the output of the pedal (there was no sound from the pedal). I sent the pedal back and received another DD400 with the same L.E.D problem but I could hear some sound from the pedal. With both pedals I could not turn them off by stepping on the switch.

Value:
The value was decent for an entry level delay pedal.

Desirability:
I think the only appeal for the pedal would be the price.

Sound:
I could not get the pedal to work, therefore I really can't comment on the sound.

Support:
I cannot comment on the company that manufactured the pedal, I did not call them for support.

Overall:
Overall I am sending the second pedal back and replacing it with a different manufacture's delay pedal.
