Step on the AM400 and you get your choice of four different acoustic models: standard, large, piezo and bright. AM400's secret weapon is Behringer Real Sound Modeling (RSM) technology, which allows this pedal to accurately simulate environmental acoustics. Just select one of the four models and use the dedicated Resonance, Level, and Attack controls to dial in your ultimate read more acoustic guitar tone. The AM400 even has its own onboard Reverb, custom-tailored to add the perfect finishing touch to your acoustic sounds.

When the acoustic mode is selected, the electric guitar signal is muted, allowing you to send your acoustic sound to the PA or to an onstage amp. Need to rock? Your electric (both the guitar and the amp) is just a toe-tap away. A status LED lets you know when the AM400 is activated, and you can power it with either a 9 V battery or a PSU-SB DC power supply (not included). A top-quality on/off switch maintains excellent signal integrity in bypass mode.

Your ticket to acoustic guitar paradise--the Behringer Acoustic Modeler AM400.

The Behringer pedals kind of have a reputation for being the walmart/kmart brand. But this pedal does an amazing job. I previously owned the Boss Acoustic simulator but I was not happy with it so I returned. I took a chance and bought the Behringer accoustic simulator and it works great. You do have to play with the settings to get the desired sound. And I strongly recommend using a single coil pickup. My humbuckers sound ok, but a single coil really works. Actually I have an Epiphone ES339 that allows you to turn the humbucker into a single coil. I am really happy with this purchase. There is a very slight hiss when you strum, so I just turn on my noise gate. I have no problem using this pedal on a gig even without the noisegate. Behringer did a great job on this accoustic simulator. And just for reference I'm playing thru a Marshall Haze 40 tube amp. I have not tried it thru a solid state amp yet.
