The BBE B-Max bass preamp is now available in a compact stomp pedal. This pedal delivers a smooth compression and features a switchable -15dB pad.

Players love the optical compressor in the highly acclaimer BBE B-Max bass preamp, so much so that BBE decided to offer the same compressor reminiscent of the classic designs of the best vintage optical-element compressors of the 50s and 60s. Other features include switchable -15dB pad, LED compression indicator, non-slip rubber bottom, easy-access 9v battery compartment and included external power supply.

If lost or stolen, this would be an absolute "for sure" purchase. It is now a permanent part of my performance rig.
Sound
I've been looking for a good compression unit for use in live playing with my Taylor 710 CE. I'm more an analog kinda guy recently selling a digital compressor for this one. It gives a real nice sound with the taylor... I'd even say tasty. Easy to use.
Features
This is really basic, two nobs. You just feel your way and you get the sound that's right for you.
Ease of Use
As I said before, very intuitive and easy to get the right sound for you.
Quality
Solid construction. Looks durable.
Value
I think this is a very, very good value. The price is excellent for what you get.
Manufacturer Support
Have not had any dealings with the company. So I chose a middle of the pack rating.
The Wow Factor
The only lower rating... the yellow color kind of jumps out, but it's starting to grow on my. These are very well made, good priced work horse pedals. I'm happy BBE went for sound quality over pure looks.
