The enCORE 300 is a flagship condenser performance microphone with its roots in Blue's legendary tuned condenser studio microphones. The enCORE 300's Aria Condenser Capsule is hand-selected and tuned for an open, detailed and present sound that is as well-suited to the stage as it is the studio.

Blue's engineers matched the capsule to a custom-designed phantom power circuit, which together provide a rapid and powerful sound that is an ideal match for powerful vocals. The enCORE 300's unique reinforced chassis design mounts the capsule for optimal performance and isolation from handling noise, while providing vault-like protection for the Aria capsule to ensure years of breathtaking performances. zZounds is an authorized dealer of BLUE products.

"great mic. good for live and studio."
Sound: i use this microphone in a variety of live situations with a variety of singers. i find it to give a strong, clean signal. slightly prone to pop, but clear and detailed. its great to work with and gives good gain before feedback. i'm happy using it with acoustic guitars too. i've used it with inexperienced and pro singers with great success. lots of microphones (beta58, for example) sound like microphones - there is a characteristic sound. this one is transparent, so i like it. which is why i'm getting more Feature: i really like the glowing blue logo that lets you know the 48v is good. Ease of Use: its a microphone. plug it in it goes. Quality: really nicely made. Value: pretty pricey in NZ The Wow Factor: looks good. light is good, feels nice to hold, nice bag. Overall: its a keeper, and will get more as finances allow.

"Everyone should own this mic. I can't believe you can buy this microphone quality for only $200."
Sound: First time using, we recorded a small drum kit of snare, HH, and ride. Once positioned, it recorded admirably. Second use: lead vocal in a 10 piece swing band. Again sounded better (clear) than any other mic on the stage, but I needed to drop the gain and instruct the singer to stop eating the mic. (this is not a dynamic- subject to pops). Third use: Lead and back-up vocals in a 3 piece harmony band. The Blue cut through with such clarity that the other mics sounded inferior. Result...all members of the band are looking at buying the Blue. Also, yet to experience any feedback, even when pushed. Feature: Very solid feeling mic with some heft. The cool emblem lights up to indicate that it has phantom power. Ease of Use: Like any mic, check the line level of the gain before applying ampliphied sound to the speakers. This mic is "hot" and you will want to start at the bottom of the gain and move up as needed. Don't be surprised if it does not match your dynamic mics...don't over push or you will experience the "pops". Quality: Built like a hammer. I have not had it long enough to tell if it is overall road worthy. Value: Frankly, everyone who sings through a P/A should have this mic. It is the best hand held stage mic for under $900, and at $200, get them while they are priced this low. Nothing in that price range comes close to the sound quality. Manufacturer Support: I have not had to contact them, so I will score them high on that fact. The Wow Factor: There are good mics out there, EV, Shure, AKG for similar pricing, but this mic has the sound, look and feel of a winner. Overall: I own a number of mics, but this one went to the top of my list for the best all-around application, especially stage vocals.
