Pick the Blueberry when you want to pick up airy mids and highs up to 22 kHz! Built with Class A circuitry, this cardioid condenser captures juicy vocals.

When it's time to invest in a great all-around large-diaphragm condenser, the Blue Blueberry cardioid condenser microphone is right up your alley. This baby is hand-tuned and tested to bring you warm, pristine, discrete Class A capture and reproduction of whatever instrument you're recording. Talk about versatility; the Blueberry works for a whole host of applications -- drum overheads, vocals and voiceover, guitars, string instruments, wind instruments, horns, and more. A cardioid polar pattern helps keep out unwanted room ambiance, and a maximum SPL of 140 dB allows you to record louder instruments without worrying about distortion.

Intimate Sound to Get Those Vocals Out Front

Every recording space needs a great all-around large-diaphragm condenser microphone, and that's where the Blueberry comes in. Each take will get you a warm and intimate capture with tight lows and mids. An alluring and slightly airy character in the higher frequencies will add a nice touch of brightness, especially if you're recording vocals, with a presence to help you slice through the mix. Blue's hand-built large diaphragm capsule will keep your capture clean and pristine, and it'll hold its own against much more expensive studio condensers.

Record Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, and Much More

One of the main reasons studios collect large-diaphragm condenser microphones is their wide reach of applications. The Blueberry works incredibly well for tracking drums as an overhead or a room mic, read more vocals, voiceover, brass instruments, string instruments, guitars, hand claps, tambourine, whistling, and even more. A wide frequency response of 22 Hz to 22 kHz gives you a ton of room for recording, and a high maximum SPL of 140 dB offers a lot of tolerance for recording louder instruments. This is a true multipurpose microphone!

BLUE Blueberry Cardioid Condenser Mic

The Blueberry consists of a Class A discrete microphone amplifier perfectly chosen to BLUE's single pattern, cardioid, hand-built large-diaphragm capsule. An entry-level microphone, the Blueberry has been designed to fill the needs of the home musician and professional alike. The timbre of the microphone capsule has been tuned to provide the end user with a silky bright and airy top end reminiscent of the best vintage microphones. This provides the engineer a recorded signal, such as a vocal, minus unwanted low-end resonance that can cause a compressor to breathe or pump. The final results are vocals and instruments that sit and blend with the basic track of recorded program material. All BLUE microphone capsules are capable of handling loud volume (SPL), the user may get as close to the microphone capsule as desired.

If you sing and play acoustic guitar and track separately, This is a perfect mic for that. Its very good at bringing out the detail and sparkly tone of the guitar to the point of being almost tactile. And with voice it has a very clear and intimate presence.
