"Works well; can't beat the price; might need some midrange EQ cut on the mic"

My Samson UHF wireless mic suddenly died and I needed to find a replacement that 1) worked well 2) had a handheld transmitter that used 9v batteries, since I already had the rechargeables and charger and didn't want to buy a whole new set for the AA batteries that power most units now 3) had a small footprint to fit in an already crowded rack 4) good price. This unit fit all my needs and when tested at home, had a good range even through walls with the antenna unextended. I should mention that compared to a flat response, this mic seems to have a presence peak at around 1.5 KHz , needing me to dial back the mid EQ on my mixer back a bit past flat, otherwise I got an unwanted resonance peak in the sound. Will try it out on a gig tomorrow, but so far, everything seems perfect.
