Audio-Technica AT4047SV Cardioid Capacitor Microphone with Shockmount

Inspired by the classic Neumann U47 FET microphone, Audio-Technica designed the AT4047SV to give you that big, rich vintage sound -- on a home-studio budget.

The rich, warm sound of the AT4047SV takes you back to the classic F.E.T. studio microphones. But there's nothing remotely old-fashioned about the technology behind that vintage sound. The AT4047SV studio condenser's dual-diaphragm capsule design maintains precise polar pattern definition across the full frequency range. With a wide dynamic range, incredibly low self-noise and high SPL capability, this versatile microphone excels on vocals, strings, acoustic guitar, instrument ensembles, small vocal groups and voiceovers.

Audio Technica's AT4047SV is designed for professional recording and critical applications in broadcast and live sound. The transformer-coupled output and specially-tuned element provide sonic characteristics reminiscent of early F.E.T. studio microphone designs.

The AT4047SV features exceptionally low self-noise, wide dynamic range, and high SPL capability. In addition, it comes equipped with gold-plated, specially-contoured and aged dual-diaphragms, a switchable 80 Hz hi-pass filter, and 10 dB pad. Included with the microphone is the AT8449SV shock mount. Both the microphone and the shock mount have a Vintage Silver matte finish.
