Studiofoam SmartPak is available in charcoal, burgundy and purple only. The 2 x 2 foot size of the absorbent panels lends itself to additional installation options and bonus absorption and diffraction due to the additional exposed edges (vs. 2 x 4 foot panels). NOTE: When you carefully cut open the packaging, the air gently re-infiltrates the Studiofoam and it regains its original shape. Recommended for medium to large areas like concert halls, gymnasiums and churches, rooms with pronounced low-frequency problems or rooms where sonic accuracy is mandatory and maximum absorption is required (e.g. voiceover or drum booths, forensic audio labs and mastering rooms). 4-inch Studiofoam Wedges provide 3 times the low-end control of 2-inch and can effectively tame all but the worst sonic anomalies. In some instances, using 4-inch Studiofoam can lessen the need for significant dedicated bass trapping (an Auralex Application Specialist can advise you on whether this applies to your particular room).
